I had a look at the Davida website, the range has shrunk somewhat. There used to be a big array of colors, two different jet helmets and the pudding basins.

I've got an Arai SZ-R on it's way.
Unfortunately it is probably not a good sign for the company - but consolidation might have been a good idea from the huge range they had before.
They also suffer from wierd sizing (I couldn't get on a 3xl Jet but own a xl Davida 92 (which they no longer make) which is really comfortable
I love the thought of an open face lid, but then see the amount of flies on my visor, remember the pigeon that nearly took my head off when it flew into my face at 90mph, the numerous stone chips from cars in front and finally the girl at my brothers work that lost a big section of skin off chin and nose when someone wiped her out on her Buell and I stick my full face back on. All of the above are applicable to biking in general and it's just me being a chicken. Pity as I think they look pretty cool. The Hedon ones look real comfy.
I had an open face helmet when I started riding again. Flip fronts were rare in those days, and full face helmets make me go all claustrophobic. The first hailstorm on a m'way persuaded me that I really really needed to find a flip front. A visor (or goggles) on an open front saves your eyes, but the shit on the rest of your face stings.
I fell on a MTB in Morzine wearing a full face, the chin bar took some of the impact - enough to crack it. It was an impact with a rock - so my face would have come off far worse
Hence I am slightly less casual bout open face helmets on a motor bike
When I put a helmet on I've always just pushed my fingers past the cheek pad to sort my ears out. Now my hands are a bit fucked up with dupuytren's contracture it's not possible, I can however sort myself out with a flip front or open face. I've got an HJC flip and am not getting on with it, so I've ordered an Arai SZ-R which should be here either today or tomorrow. I'll post a pic when I have it.
