When did work get to dictate home decor.
It doesn't, it's one painting / print that sits behind me nothing else.
I could use the Teams filters / backgrounds but they're shite
Get marketing to mock up a suitably size image with a brick wall and the company logo to use as a background. It's all a bit corporate, but saves any arguments.

Sitting in the conservatory watching this approaching with a glass of red wine.
"Of all the stories you told me, which ones were true and which ones weren't?"
"My dear Doctor, they're all true."
"Even the lies?"
"Especially the lies."

Yeah but then that is them overly influencing what I have in my study / office.
I'm in on rush something will take my fancy eventually
Standing in my living room drinking coffee with the bifolds open while it biblically pisses it down outside. The angle of the rain and the roof eaves mean the tiny strip of ground just in front of the doors is dry.

Sat at Colchester A&E, step-son rolled his car this morning!
Fook. Hope all are okay...
Just waiting a scan but seems ok, cuts and bruises mainly.
He's probably got more to come after you've seen the car! seriously though, glad hes okay as they get a proper brain rattling when they roll a car.
A publican told us a story about a customer of his who got pissed up and drove home as people often did in the 70s. Anyway, he lost control on a bend and rolled his car and he was thrown out of the car. He was knocked unconscious and woke up in a field with absolutely no idea of how he got there! The funny bit was his car landed the other side of a hedge and he didnt see it. Later that day he went to the pub to collect his car and it wasn't there, he thought it had been stolen and reported it. He was really angry when Plod found it smashed up in a farmers field. It was only when they gave the location he's memory returned! Knowing the publican i'm never sure how true that story actually is, but it's a great story!

Lol, thats a great story!
Only happened a mile or so from home on the road over to Mersea Island, so we were there shortly after the 5-0 arrived. Hit a verge, rolled on to one side, hit the other verge and rolled again!
The Shitroen is no more! Front of roof and both sides ruined....
Waiting to be escorted out of Birmingham airport departures area - you can't just get out yourself apparently - because our plane was struck by lightning on the way in, has been deemed unsafe, and we will therefore no longer be flying to Copenhagen today

Tricky one. Miss a day's holiday or fly on a plane that may have an electrical issue or two? (It's probably just a fuse ) I assume that compensation has been offered?
(Had to spend an extra night in Israel once while they flew an engineer or two out from the UK to fix a problem on our plane. They attempted to comfort us by telling us that those responsible for the repair would be flying back with us. Got put up in a v smart hotel for the extra night. Better to get an extra day tacked on the end of a holiday than lose one at the beginning though).

Decided to head to Manchester so we can fly from here in the morning. Night in an airport hotel instead of Copenhagen, but means we only lose half a day of hol (ish).
As opposed to the flight they auto-rebooked us on, which involves three flights, starting at 5.55am on Wednesday morning and taking a little under nine hours in total Hard pass.

I just have a wall of electric guitars behind me, it makes me look cool
I had a call the other day and noticed the ironing board and iron were still in shot, where I'd been on a previous call with the Bank of England and decided to multi-task and get my work shirts ironed.
