I'm waiting for the Emergency Medical Hologram version.

(It's got to be easier/quicker to make them than it is to get a doctor's appointment. ).

Stuff like that is dead handy IMO. Fast Google. Or really fast ask Jeeves.
As said, that's what it is.

Yeah that's pretty much what I use it for.

Basically a spotty work experience kid who's great at Googling stuff.

This is interesting https://www.theregister.com/2025/06/18/ ... /?td=rt-3a.

It's not peer-reviewed yet - but it does correspond with other observations (eg, sat-nav users forgetting how to find places without it).

Yeah writing an essay with ChatGPT is dumb  The point of writing essays for school is to cement your understanding and prove you've learned something, believe it or not nobody is actually interested in what you have to say on the topic :D

You'll be telling me next that teachers aren't really interested in what you did on holiday. :D

You say that, but when I wrote about the man who wanted to show me the puppies back in 1978, the teacher, the school head and police officer were all very interested...

There's a very sad 'what did you do on your holidays' poem by Sophie Hannah. Title is 'Your Dad did what?'

I work in a team that works with AI for a large brand. ChatGPT is not a danger, AI in the broadest sense 100% is.

It is already replacing people, job safety is already impacted and that’ll get worse rapidly for anyone working on process based tasks, or that can be made into processes which is ultimately everything.

As for real danger - I’d say yes AI is becoming a physical threat. It’s not science fiction, and although many reports are exaggerated we do see some very strange behaviour in our tests which makes us uncomfortable. We simply do not understand much of it.

This coupled with autonomous weapons platforms, or just connected systems that control everything in our society, I worry.
