The plural of 'anecdote' is not 'data'.

Got the private plate on the new car, a bit annoyed the dealer put the green bit on them, it's a load of bollocks virtue signalling imho...

Dunno about the frozen wastes of the north where everything is still cobbled and steam powered, but down here in soft palm land with lots of leccy cars there are loads of car parks with EV only spaces. The green stripe means you don't get a ticket.
'course, there's nothing to stop you putting a green stripe plate on your V8 Mustang.

I was going to put some green sticky back plastic on my SL's plate, but never got round to it.Mr. Dazzle wrote: Wed Aug 13, 2025 7:08 am Dunno about the frozen wastes of the north where everything is still cobbled and steam powered, but down here in soft palm land with lots of leccy cars there are loads of car parks with EV only spaces. Run away from home. Curiously mixed feelings.
More driven to the ferry really, I don't run.

Maybe it's just an MK thing, where it's simultaneously 1978 and 2037Taipan wrote: Wed Aug 13, 2025 11:28 am I don’t have the green stripe in my plates but I didn’t know there were EV only parking spaces. TBH I find that a bit Iceist!![]()

There's none here, but then we are a little isolated.
There are 2 charging spots in the council carpark, but one of those is reserved for disabled badge holders who need to charge.

Re: What have you done today thread?
Last night for us tonight, although Mrs Weeksy is staying till Sat. It's her birthday tonight so out for a meal, then up early tomorrow morning to drive back to UK.
It's then straight to Llangollen for track walk and bike rebuild on Friday in the field and a weekend of racing for the boy while I collapse in a heap.
His bike has mostly survived the trip, but one rim on the back may need replacing after Gollen. My Fuel has been ace and today was Pleny laps for us. Was supposed to be a rest day for wife's birthday but she fancied the pool so we hit trails.
Still soooooo hot. Just been out to fill the van with fuel and it's showing 34deg currently. I have no reason to disbelieve it
