MM the only rider into the 1:37s and on a rear tyre with 22 laps on it. Dominant hardly does justice. And WTF was Bagnaia doing sat in his pit box when he should have been out there learning the circuit and putting miles in on a long run? It's beginning to look like he's mentally checked out.

The layout of Balaton Park is about as uninspiring and unimaginative as you can get. No less than four (4) chicanes in a 2.5 mile track is brainless. The designers probably thought it would make for plenty of overtaking opportunities, but it doesn't especially with all the aero aids on modern bikes. There aren't even any elevation changes to keep things vaguely interesting, it's just dull, dull, dull.

Compare and contrast with somewhere like Mugello or Portimao. Opposite ends of the spectrum.

I haven't bothered watching MotoGP for a good few rounds now so haven't seen any of it here, but I thought that when the WSB lot were there a few weeks back, shite track that makes for boring racing.

Cadwell BSB is where the good racing is at this week-end- going into qualifying, the top 10 are currently within 0.5 of each other, and top 15 within a second
The Supersport, Superstock, Sportbike, and usually to a slightly lesser extent, F900s are usually a good watch too

For the big bikes,they worked it out at 9 first gear corners and something like 36 gear changes per lap. Maybe Moto3 will save the day.

There was a clip of MMarquez short-shifting from 1st to 4th out of a corner. It's a go-kart track for those bikes but, yes, you're right. It''ll make for a decent Moto3 race.

Not so sure about that - lap 4 of 20 and already it's a procession, with the field really strung out.

Well,it wasn't a classic Moto3,but probably still miles better that the rest of the day's racing. 18 thousands of a second between first and second.

Yes, at least there was some action, even if it was a lot less than we're used to. Quiles seemed the only rider who could recover from a mistake and take back the places he'd lost. In comparison Rueda seemed unable to progress and Quiles is eating into his championship lead...

With all the fuss around Diogo Moreira, I still maintain that David Alonso is The One for the future. Besides being an incredibly likeable character, he has the situational and spatial awareness and the raw speed that only the very best have.

It's taken him a while to get to grips with the M2 bike, but I agree with MGC that (providing he grows a bit) he will be a future premier class front runner.
