One thing I've learned from watching Belgian (French-speaking) coverage of MotoGP is that the French term for a chicane is 'piff-paff'.

It is, but todays racing was good to watch, in contrast to yesterdays sprint race.mangocrazy wrote: Sun Aug 24, 2025 12:29 pmLe_Fromage_Grande wrote: Sun Aug 24, 2025 12:17 pm That was a good race to watch, shows all the talk about how bad the track is bolloxThat's a pretty rapid flip-flop...
Any track with 4 chicanes is a bit of a one-trick pony...

Main race was much better than the sprint, Marc looked like he didn't really need to try once he was passed.
Great rides from the Prillas, would love to see Pedro on a better bike.
Talking of bikes, Pecco is starting to look broken regardless of the 25 bike.

Surprisingly it was a pretty good race, overall. That off for Bastianini was well scary and if that can't be fixed, then they shouldn't race there again.

Yes, I have to admit the race turned out much better than I anticipated. Bastianini's off and the ensuing chaos was a classic 'tight chicane' off, and as there are 4 of the fückers on the track, this is very, very problematic. That could easily have been another Simoncelli type incident.Skub wrote: Mon Aug 25, 2025 1:32 pm Surprisingly it was a pretty good race, overall.
