Dunno if it was part of the curriculum but as above I definitely did it at school. Obviously modern schools are more concerned with British Values than they were in your day

It's just one of those things that you should know, like putting the milk in tea last, jam on the scone first, putting your left shoe on first.Taipan wrote: Sat Sep 06, 2025 1:30 pmWhy would I? I think all the helicopters in the country are buzzing too and fro over my house. Noisy buggers.Horse wrote: Sat Sep 06, 2025 12:42 pm Oi! Aircraft enthusiasts! What're these?
They did three circuits. The group of four headed back North a bit after.
I'm guessing two Spitfires and Hurricane in the group. But the others?
I know there's an event at Duxford, but we're miles from there (West Berkshire).

(My local polo club are hosting an 'Aviation Challenge', not, as my wife suspected, that someone had blown up the next village to us or armed villains had been cornered in the Co-op.

I know about it and we certainly were not taught about it in school. Surprisingly I've never put a Union Flag on a flagpole either

You've got to know how to fly it the right way up, otherwise how would you know how to fly it when you're in distress?Taipan wrote: Sat Sep 06, 2025 1:30 pmWhy would I? In addition to the helicopters ^^^ we've had a display with a couple of stunt biplanes (not Pitts) and cherry on top - a spitfire hooning about and coming over the back garden at not a lot of feet.
