A tidy H1D. 8-)

When we were young the XS was considered a heavy, slow old plodder and so it was,but older eyes now appreciate a certain charm about the old thing. I'd happily own one now. :D

Left at 8.30 this morning as it's getting a bit chilly for much earlier. Had no idea where I wanted to go so just followed my nose so to speak. Ended up through Hatfield Broadoak, Takeley, Felsted and down to Heybridge for a coffee.

Image

No plan from there so headed to Hedingham, then through Finchingfield, Mountfitchet, Much Hadham and then Wareside which I've not been through in a while, passed the pub I stopped in on a Veggie Dave ride out very many years ago. Stopped back at home 110 miles up. Was a nice morning.

Just for a change and because I went out too late which meant the roads were busy,I went wandering down some road/tracks less travelled. Sometimes I didn't know where the fook I was until I popped out in a recognisable place.

250 miles around Snowdonia on the 9GT today. Really enjoying this bike, it's just an MT with extra waft factor and comfort.

More than likely today will be the last ride on the Ducati this year. Upcoming travel for work and the weather changing means the MT09 will be in use again if I'm going anywhere on two wheels.

No idea where I'm going this morning, probably towards West Sussex has the roads are in a better condition than Surrey

Just had a mini break (30hrs!) headed over to Pateley Bridge via Hawes, not many pics with the bike.

Brimham Rocks is excellent if you have kids or are a big kid at heart 😂
The weather kept dry, right until I headed home, then pissed down!

Picture of the vfr at Hunstanton which seems to be a busy bike meet place.

Not really been out on the bike this summer as was busy with the new house but have done a few hundred miles this weekend. Today was a run up to Hunstanton (from Watton), along the coast to Wells and then back home. The roads around here really are superb although the coast road can get busy in the summer.

Probably my favourite time of year when the weather is like this.

Just been for a stroll in the local woods and it's

It's green here once enough after annual big storm. That's enough for me :obscene-birdiedoublered:

It's ok until incessant rain turns even the roads green.

Rode into London straight after work yesterday, it was certainly a different experience with the tube strike being on - thousands more lemming like pedestrians & cyclists to dodge and apart from one section of the A40 I was pretty much filtering all the way from Gerrard's Cross to Waterloo

It was the undoing of my ex-pt mate. He missed the seasons and walks in the woods and going to a proper English pub with horse brasses on the beams and a pub garden with benches. He gave up his beautiful villa in Alicante to come home to that. What a twat!

My v glamorous (and famous in the 70s!) aunt, having lived in Oz then Arizona used to come back on visits and loved going for walks in the rain. :)

When my uncle died she moved back here after 50+ years away. I think the rain novelty has worn off a bit.

If I was that desperate I'd move to northern Spain. Wifey goes to England once or twice a year to visit her sister, it's 3 years since I've been there. I've made a few visits to Ireland but now that won't happen again.

At the moment I'm on a campsite at a place called Albarracin. It's definitely a town worth visiting when you're next over this way.
