Whole day sanding and filling prep

Then expensive 2 pack primer
Then silly expensive 2 pack top coat.

It's gotta stand silly hot sun

It's been so long since I've had to use the heater in the car that I forget the sequence of buttons to push to turn off the AC & make it toasty. Drove about 14 miles, never did get it working...

Took a much cherished Jaeger jacket (bought early 90s) to a tailor to a) make it smaller and b) put smaller shoulder pads in. The shoulders are a bit 'power dressing' style + I've shrunk.

Paid up front. Could've bought a new jacket for what it cost.

But, couldn't have bought one the same.

Bought a pair of desert boots.

The regular trivia night. Only me & the former B-i-L on the team tonight, we got 8th place with 33/48.

We ran one round which was 7 questions that all had something in common & the 8th question was what it was.

Q3: Real life location of the platform to go to Hogwarts: Kings X

Is that 89k taxable? that could be expensive in one hit compared to being paid out over several years.

Bit humbling tbh.

Today: Got written garden leave confirmation. Two more weeks to 'work'. Then two months off.

Also got an invite to my future work's Christmas do.

Half way through emptying the small shed-of-plenty and it delivers! Found some really useful tools and clamps. There’s also a myriad of bike parts in there! EBay will be selling those for me later!

A couple of those toolboxes have been buried in there since the early 90s and I’ve no idea what’s in them. I’m starting to feel Like Henry Cole or an episode of American pickers!

Sort of! It was stacked up in there as a temporary measure but 2 of the shelves collapsed and it kinda just stayed that way!

Found my grandads old penknife which I’m very pleased about!

Lost my sodding tool roll, realised half way round my ride, back-tracked looking for it but nowhere to be seen

Annoying as I felt I'd got what I needed in there and was comfortable I could cope with most trailside stuff with it.

Oh well at least the weather looks like it's on the turn so it will give me a chance to build up a new one without missing out too much riding.

Managed a few longer trickier trails today and I was pleased how much more confident I'm getting with relatively little practice.

The whole front dash, rack, screen assembly is overkill for what I need and rattles and shakes like crazy. I'm going to take it all to bits and see if it can be improved as all the nuts & bolts seem tight.
