Not too much. Recovering from my first ride out on Saturday with a group in some years. Did a measly 125 miles in the day, lots of lovely Kent back roads though, but 50 miles on motorway to get there/back. Most the bike has done in one go for a while!

Two services yesterday.

Today is quiet, rest day, so did some gardening. Am taking a Memorial Service tonight for the family of my predecessor, he passed away three years ago today. He was a lovely gentle man and was deeply loved by those in the community.

Put chaines on a great big coach !!! Well, one chain - just to prove I could

It was my biggest fear for this winter because I want to drive the bigger coaches but didn't know if I could put chains on or not, so have been quite worried

So, had a half try today and am confident that if I need to, my spazzy arm can deal with chains - here's hoping that it will never be necessary !!!

Some say he bought a sofa that wasn't in a sale.

All we know is, he's The Stig.

Managed a short ride for the first time in a long while to test my hip out.

Hoping for some more dry days to get a few more hours in whilst on holiday.

Got one over the Guardia Civil. They are all hated with a vengeance and just a revenue raising machine.

Was cycling along the seafront promenade, in the cycle lane.

G.C. car heading towards me straddling the cycle lane.

He was playing chicken but I stood my ground. Both of us came to a halt.

I just stood up and smiled.

His partner told him to stop being an idiot and go round me.

His face was a picture :obscene-birdiedoublered:

Went for an xray of my feet today. Should have been simple

Anyway, the radiographer wanted to practice his English, ok, I never mind that - except it was really bad  He really wasn't explaining what I needed to do !!!

Firstly he asked me to stand up onto the x-ray bed - it was "only" a step up of about two foot   I mean, yes, I have two feet and in theory I could step up, except there was nothing for me to hold on to to get up or when I got up there

I think I faffed so much that he took pity and went and got some steps.

But then he wanted me to stand so my feet were under the x-ray light but that meant that I was leaning back   took a while for him to explain and let me know that I could hold onto the machine so I didn't fall over

THEN, I had to lie down on the x-ray thingy (he said sit, but I finally got what he meant!) and shuffle so my feet were at the base, then he's yanking my arm to get me to hold onto a side bar (had to explain that that arm doesn't move how he wants it too  ) once both sidebars were in position he then tipped the x-ray bed upright and I had to start shuffling side to side to get the x-rays

Bloody hope the x-rays are useful :obscene-drinkingcheers: :obscene-drinkingcheers:

After seemingly ages prepping , priming and painting the path at side of house, today was the comparatively easy bit

Shitty painter did side of house and it all came up so had to take it back to the concrete. Bloody hard work

Today just applied primer to rear. I'd filled the cracks previously.
.
The 2 pack primer just for this area was 75€. Might as well do it properly
.

Was hard work as bastard 30c today. Had to wait till sun went behind house or i would have been blinded by the reflection 😔

Had to stop food & drink intake (except water) at 9.30 as I have a chest CT with contrast at 1.30. Cardiologist wants to take a gander at the blood plumbing.
They're still none the wiser about my recent, but temporary, death. Seeing the Neuro bloke last week was a complete waste of my time.

Just 2 of us on the trivia team last night. 11th of 16 teams with 33/48 points. At the half way beer/pizza break we were 12/24 (6 rounds of 8 questions) & tied with 3 other teams in last place. We got 4/8 on the first three rounds :(
The 8 out of 10 possible answers round (#7) was "8 of the top 10 countries with Michelin starred restaurants". We nailed that round.

Today I got a friend at work to help me vac/wash the seats in my car - there've always been marks on the seats, so we gave it a good shot :( Sadly, it wasn't warm enough to dry the seats properly, so there's a good chance they'll still be damp and cold (hopefully not frozen) in the morning !!!

On the plus side, I made a really nice loaf of bread for the first time since I got here !! My wholemeal is not good, but the granary seems to be totally fine, if not rather lovely :bblonde: :bblonde: :bblonde: :bblonde:

Today! Took son to work. Home to sort out some admin. Then celebrated the Eucharist at the church, blessed a bench that has been given in memory of a deceased long standing member of the congregation (family in the USA paid for it). Met with the Royal British Legion people to chat about the service we are hosting on Remembrance Sunday.

Back home to walk the dog. Had to head out and sort out some shopping and collect parcels. Back home again to chat to some community members, we had a big fire in the local area in which a listed building was burnt down. Asbestos in the building, so there is a big clean-up taking place. Wrote a letter a letter of thanks to a local charity for some work they did. Applied for yet another grant to get some work to the hall paid for. Was given a six pack of French beers by someone back from holidays in Normandy, a very nice surprise and most welcome!!

Worked on sermon for tomorrow mornings Eucharist at the school. Took the bins out for rubbish collection tomorrow. At the pizza my son made from scratch, dough made with OO flour. Very very tasty. Helped him clean up the kitchen, dropped a plate (only and Ikea one so no real loss)....

Had dessert with the wife. Now relaxing!
