We have lots of all you can eat Chinese buffets.

I found my SDS drill - turns out I did bring it here, just put it in the shed !!! LOL

Sooo, I put up two sets of shelves and now hove more stuff up on the wall - sooo easy with the SDS

Finally the Lego KTM a friend built for me has a lovely safe place to be admired :)

Image

More of my BDad's stuff is on view on various shelfs etc, this makes me very happy :). But I do need one of those little 'plate' holders so I can put the Round Tuit on the wall in the loo not balanced on the shelf!!!

The other 'shelf' is a coat hook/rack/shelf - makes hanging my coat on the back of a chair no longer necessary :bblonde: :bblonde:

Now to find a reclining chair all cheap and unloved and I can put it in front of the fire to relax in  Although I've put a load of my B&W prints on the wall opposite and around the fire, so the heat might make me have to go and get actual frames for the prints, which would be good, but expensive!!!!

The shelf issue was a total bastard as they aren't the simple shelf brackets I had to put up in the little apartment - actual big shelves. Ok, not big to a normal person, but you try putting shelf units on a wall with only 1.5 useful arms

Oh, and I rescued a bird that had knocked itself (almost) out flying into the upstairs sunroom :( :( Poor thing was proper stunned and landed on his back; luckily I saw him, turned him over, found a sort of box and a towel to cover it (leaving an exit!) and gently put him inside to recover . Here's hoping he's flown away by morning

Soo - if I wasn't going to work for 5:45 tomorrow I'd be celebrating, but as i am, I'm gonna have a couple of spring rolls for tea and a cup of black tea (shops were closed yesterday and I ran out of milk!!) and get an early-ish night

:obscene-drinkingcheers: :obscene-drinkingcheers: :bblonde: :bblonde: :bblonde:

The video from the F350 a couple of days ago when the sonic boom caused the gal to think I'd hit her Toyota..
The boom* is right at the start of the video & sounds like a pair of quick taps on something.

*makes ya wonder what all the fuss is about tbh...

Read up on why we have (had) Sussex, Wessex, Essex and Middlesex but not Norsex.

(But we do have Suffolk and Norfolk).

You sent me down a rabbit hole and I discovered the people of Sussex were enslaved by Wessex, I'm going to submit my reparations claim to Worthy farm.

From the tip? 😱
From the recycling shop. Stuff gets donated rather than slung in the skips.

Always wanted a Target Hifi stand with the glass shelves and isolation spikes. Always too much money and even second hand ones are going for £80-100. Picked this one up at the tip for £7.00.

Also got a Tennent's Lager Christmas jumper. Very classy...

The hi-fi stack looks  but the room acoustics look a bit 'glassy'. :D
By their very nature conservatories are mostly made of glass. The wife wasn't on board with the idea of having one of the kids sleep in there so I could have a listening room

A carvery always brings out the greedy pigs and the tightwads who seem to think eating until you are bursting is good value for money. I hate the school dinners feel from a carvery.

Sunday roast was a big thing when I was growing up. It was the meal of the week and the biggest dinner I got all week for sure. My Mum would always tell us to eat the meat and leave the veggies if we couldn't manage it all, as meat was expensive! It was the same with most of my mates. So I do get having a scoff up and I certainly ate more than I would at home. But what I saw was pure piggery! I was reminded of this...

Had a massive lie-in.
Took the dog for a long walk.
Cleared out some remaining stuff from the shed into the workshop.
Cleared the greenhouse.
Put some air in the sadly neglected track bike's tyres.
Off to pilates soon.

I'm already enjoying this not going to work lark.👍

Took the pupsters to get their latest round of shots, one more to go in three weeks & then they can meet the world.
Female put on 3.1lb in three weeks & the male got 3lb heavier. They are thriving.

Edit:
Then the male threw his breakfast up when he got home & his sister shit in hallway by the front door...

Random job today, got asked to go to the depot at Albans (sp) to get a coach that had been damaged so our bodywork team can fix it.

Tried to find it in google but nope, no where within two hours!!

Turns out it is Albens   Sodding pronunciation !!! LOL

Anywya, made a plank of myself at the depot cos the mechanic gave me the key and said "you've driven Irizars?" I've started one, in the old job, so I said, that. He confirmed I'd started an Irizar and I said yes

Different models

Couldn't find the button to turn on the power/electrics

Once I'd found someone to point out to the ditsy blonde how to get the bastard thing started, it was bloody lovely to drive :) :) :)

Just got to get them to let me drive those more often !!! :bblonde: :bblonde:

New dog crate arrived, it's rather splendid for MDF & metal. 3 1/2 hours to assemble most of it. Roomies 42yo son walked in when I was about an hour into it & spectated with no offer to help... ffs.

Yesterday the wife was at the hospital for her diabetic check up.

Today she was at the orthotics to see about lifts for her shoes.

Tomorrow I’ve got a blood test.

And so he’s not feeling left out the cats got his 6 monthly check up on Friday.

I swear it it wasn’t for doctors or hospital appointments I’d have no life at all.
