Pecco's problem seems to be that he can't find a stable, reliable base setting for the bike. Trying to say that 'well Marc's won the WC on the same bike' is unhelpful as Marc is a complete outlier - he can make pretty much any bike work for him. This latest pronouncement seems to be Ducati preparing to throw Pecco under the bus. Ducati say they can't use Pecco to help develop the 2026 bike, but that is precisely what they should be doing. Pecco is a mortal, Marc is an alien (The Super Alien?) and his input is only useful for other super-aliens, of which there are currently none in the MotoGP paddock.
See also Honda and how that bike evolved when 1) the factory doesn't listen to all its riders and 2) development is based on one rider, who happens to be a freak of nature.

Re: Motogp Portugal
Next year there will be 4, 2026 factory Ducatis, Marc and Pecco, Alex and Digi. Fermín Aldeguer and Franco Morbidelli might get 2025 bikes or might stick with the 2024 bikes.
I've not been able to find anything definite to say if the 2025 bikes will be used or not.

Re: Motogp Portugal
Pecco hasn't finished the last 4 races. Mad stat for you. Bulega scored the only point for the factory Ducati team since Japan.
Did any of you watch the MotoE? Race two was great entertainment and the championship decider. I know the series hasn't exactly set the world on fire, but to replace it with bagger racing is beyond a joke.
