Hi Noggin, thanks for checking in 😊. Not good news I'm afraid, Austin suffered a stroke on Thursday morning😢.
He is currently in Cheltenham General, he has no use in his left arm and leg atm, but he can speak, and his mind is fine. Just praying he improves slightly each day 🙏🙏🤞🤞 xx

They are treating him very well. He is desperate for a coffee but he is NBM atm, so fingers crossed he might be able to eat and drink soon 🙏🤞.
Slightly worried that they think his mind is fine 😳😳. Could be a bad sign 😇😇🤪

Crossing fingers he’s up and about and writing abuse with both hands very soon!!!
Ta for the update, lets hope for a complete recovery.

We had a good long yarn over coffee a few weeks ago, just before he went over to Scotland.

It's probably because the hanger itself is too narrow with gaps in.

In 26 years & almost 125,000 miles, my ZRX11 it hasn't had that much dirt on it in total...

Went to the local store in the car with BOTH pups.... First time going solo with both of them :wtf:

They both tried to sit on my lap & then between the car & the store they attempted to do the Maypole thing with their leashes around my legs...
Girl in the store made a big fuss of them, causing the female pup to pee on the floor

On the upside the male will now jump into the SBH instead of having to be lifted. Female is much less timid with her brother there. I think she will be over it in pretty short order. 8-)

Dry sunny day (rare recently in this parish) so decided to go for a ride. Bloody cold, still white frost on the grass verges at 11:00 am, and the roads were shite! Mashed up leaves, washed out mud and gravel, and no doubt salt too, with rivers running across many country roads. Not a day for 'making progress', Captain Sensible was in charge today.

Bike is now clagged in shite and needs a major wash.

It's one job is to get the number plate out beyond the edge of the rear tyre, it isn't there to keep your back clean

Last bit of electricery in Project parents downstairs toilet. Socket moved, new light wired in, remedial wiring to outside light addressed.

Also scraped off the last of the tile adhesive (I knocked all the tiles off a couple of days ago), and fillered various holes.

Next jobs: sanding the filler, painting, tiling the floor. Back on that on Friday.

I've had a rubbish day. People suck and a spazzy arm sux even more!!

The arm has seriously pissed me off today (gotta talk to work tomorrow   ) but what's really upset me is a "friend" here. Apparently turning up to the cafe we meet in and not warning him was bad. He didn't really communicate so I wound it back and left him to it, then he left after one coffee (normally has two at least).

So, I'd worked out something was wrong but then I get a text saying how he's sorry he didn't chat but he has his routines and I totally threw him because I hadn't warned him I was going; he's set in his routine and so it upset his day

I read it today and replied saying sorry, I'll let you know I'm going to be there next time

TBF, I didn't feel great about it because he made me feel like a shit friend - I was just for hoping to chat about nothing cos I'm not in a good place at the mo

Then today I've had two very LONG messages to tell me how he needs his routine and his day got all out of sorts because I was there unexpectedly; mostly because he hadn't expected to see me and he was still half asleep (he's retired but still, it was past 9am!), so me being there and wide awake and chatty upset his routine, his day and him

Two very long messages making me feel like the shittiest friend cos I actually NEEDED to chat in English with a friend (I've spent MONTHS listening to all his issues and never seem to get time to reverse that, but TBF, I just wanted a lighthearted chat over coffee   )

Hey ho, so that on top of the spazzy arm being exceptionally spazzy and I want to win the lotto and just fuck off travelling for a while !!!

But hey - at least the Monster has made it to my new place with the help of one of the transport guys I've known for years!! Woohooo! Now to try and get in touch with Ducati Italy and see if they can help with some documents and info so that I can start getting ready to apply for classic import status!!! (When they tell me the date of the last production of this model, I can work out when I can start!!)

Seeing a friend unexpectedly spoiled his day. Is he deep on the spectrum? :wtf:

Sorely lacking in alcohol and a cat to stop me getting up! But the guy that helped me bring the Ducati down was great cos we chatted loads (all I wanted this morning!)

And yes, it's a him problem but I let the messages upset me

Have also just written a long email to work to explain the issues today (and why I was in tears at the end of my shift!) - they've been really good so far, so here's hoping that they'll continue in that!!

I always knew he was edging on the spectrum - he's said the same in one of the messages. But yeah, think he's further on that I thought and than he thinks!!!

Cold boring morning on watch with the NCI. Cold 10C, feels like 6C, heavy rain, crap visibility around 1 NM, nothing to see and wind is Gale force 8, increasing to Severe Gale force 9 imminent.

Nothing to see and no visitors to chat to. Boring!
