Dry roads today after the wreckage of storm Bram.

Our local farmer's are still spreading mud all over my local roads so I'm still parked up, hopefully out soon.

Re: When/Where/Pics was the last time you rode your bike ?
Good to get out earlier, nice & mild as Skub said.
The back roads that I enjoy were still wet & occasionally muddy, but for December I'll take that.

On the way home I was riding through a massive puddle, only riding about 10 mph & hit a big F off pothole,I must have hit it with a bit of force as I my visor got splashed
'
I checked the front wheel & all seems to be correct,so glad I didn't hit it on the Street Triple, they're known for bending rims...

Re: When/Where/Pics was the last time you rode your bike ?
Just a short ride to Ironbridge for a warm sausage roll, a cuppa and a natter. Main reason was to test new helmet and brake lever. Very happy in both cases. Brake lever is now a lot closer so an easy reach. Before it was more of a finger tips job.
The Caberg tourmax x seems very good. At 80 ish the peak doesn't seem affected by wind. It does have gaps to let air through which worked well. My only issue and was only temporary was the chin gaurd wind blocker or whatever they call it. Visor was steaming up for a second or two as I breathe out, ok at speed though. Took it out for ride home and all good. Don't know how good it is in rain yet.
Few nice bikes parked up, a lovely 950sm, the rocket 3 looked nice, he's got 4. Think that one was a 54k special edition. I should of got better pics.
A little honda Gb 350 rolled up and looked quite nice didn't speak to owner though. Eleys shop was very busy and I shall be returning for my Xmas pork pie.

That was one great thing about ASV levers I bought for the Zed some time ago. There is enough minute adjustment to get the lever exactly where you want it. Spendy items yes,but one which actually delivers. Quality.Dodgy69 wrote: Sun Dec 14, 2025 2:56 pm Just a short ride to Ironbridge for a warm sausage roll, a cuppa and a natter. Looking at the bikes in your pics all out in December,I wonder if the UK weather will change enough in the next few years to allow pleasant all season riding?

Very enjoyable full day on the lanes of Hampshire yesterday, hadn't quite made it above zero when we started at 9am , but when the fog lifted the sun was out and it soon warmed up , and TBH cold really isn't a problem on the lanes when it's not raining, especially when you have heated grips
It (unsuprisingly
) was really muddy and slippy in places, which only makes it more fun - I love this time of year off road when it isn't raining- lots of laughs, great day

Benelli Leoncino 800 trails. Its good fun, very comfy, sat nice and high and I've never seen another on the road. 76 bhp twin.

Re: When/Where/Pics was the last time you rode your bike ?
147 cold miles, well feet anyway. Time to put away the ankle boots. Nice sunny day though, so down to Crossgates cafe, near Llandrindod Wells for a ham n cheese toastie and tea. I was the only bike, usually a few there. Took the twisty route, roads still dodgy and bike covered in shit.
Pics taken on mountain roads between Penybont and Knighton. Lovely views.

Looks like you need to invest in a proper mudguard or a solid rack if you're using that Benelli over winter

Yeah it don arf chuck the shit up. I'm wearing a cheap waterproof jacket over the top. There was 1 or 2 floods though, roads are nasty atm.
I'm reckon that tyre don't help either.

Where do you all live that have all these amazing murals?
The only one in my area is of Mo Farrah. Maybe I'll get a pic of that next time, although around here I'll probably get the bike nicked before I can take the picture and then the phone snatched

There's loads of really good ones in Belfast from when they replaced (most of) the paramilitary inspired murals a while back, but I tend to avoid the city now because of 20mph limits and bloody cameras everywhere.

Out on the SV650S earlier, called in at my mates garage before he shuts for Christmas.
He's been buying bikes again...

Then I went for a spin down the local back roads, lovely & quiet

A lovely, sunny dry day today. The old smoker loves that cold, dense air.
