Oooh, only been there once, it was in the 90s, it wasn't nice.
I don't suppose the decommissioning (2022) of West Burton A power station has helped the place. WB B (gas) won't have half the jobs. They propose to put a prototype STEP Tokamak fusion reactor there. If it ever gets built and goes wrong it'll improve Gainsborough town centre although the metal in all the mobility scooters might absorb a lot of the radiation.
The plural of 'anecdote' is not 'data'.

Blimey. He had a very nice house near Oulton Park. Stayed there a couple of times before trackdays.

Mates brother lives in Vietnam,he does QC for some clothing company,been over there for years.I don't know what the cost of living is over there,but according to my mate he lives like a king,

Bits of Nepal are cheap to live in , culture is good - food is cheap ...
Various bits of Africa - but ...
Vietnam - a tad more cultured that Thailand

15 mins from here, even the nice shopping area doesn’t make it worth a visit 🤣

Wife loves Nepal, she's been there a few times. I'd be a little worried about how secure a place it was to live though? Never quite sure who in is charge or who wants to be in charge? Really should make an effort to go there though, it does look fantastic.
