Christ, your weather's better than mine, proper shit here. Bike looks nice, think all Honda's come with 6 years now, my monkey did, with the usual " if a honda dealer does it".

I've bought twice from this dealer and my daughter got her first big bike from them. Great dealership. Only issue is understanding what they say at times. This far Sarf is like a different country!
Enjoy your new wheels Pietin

Started it up today, just because. Hopefully it's going to be dry on Sunday and I want to get a minimum of an hours ride...

Sun you say?
We actually had a bit of that this morning too,but everywhere was still soaking wet and no wind to dry things up. I finally got out,but didn't get long before the rain started again.
Hey ho.

I rode out to the peninsula so the wind was carrying some clouds inshore, but it kept blowing them past the sun and when it broke through, it was lovely. Poplar roads I was out on, and there were quite a few bikes out and about too. Got a real sense of spring arriving!Skub wrote: Sun Feb 08, 2026 3:42 pm Sun you say?![]()

No. I thought they came with the comfort pack I ordered, but it turns out they are part of the Adventure pack, so I didnt get them. I'll have them put on at the 600 mile service.

Update on the bike:
Good things. Surprised at how comfy I am on it, especially given the quite sporty footrest position, considering its ADV styling. I went out for a hours test ride for medical purposes, but I knew I was fine and stayed out for double the intended time. Comfort seat is just that, which is very welcome after the notoriously uncomfortable AT seat. I got used to the power difference today and I deffo can live with that. My fingers were slightly numbed towards the end of the ride but that was after 2 hours and I normally only ride for an hour.
Not so good things. Suspension is unadjustable and cheap. It'll do though, and of course. it could be resprung and revalved but I can't imagine me bothering tbh.
Annoying thing: The DCT setup using the mode switch through the TFT is annoying and stupidly long-winded. On the AT you had the main switch which you pushed once for drive and twice for sport mode and then you could choose sport 1-3 modes using the lefty hand switchgear. On this, the main switch selects Drive or Manual. then using the mode switch on the left-hand switch gear, you can cycle through 5 modes Standard, Sport, Rain (lol), User 1 and user 2. But generally speaking you use standard or sport mode so, having to flick past the other modes to go from sport back to standard is really annoying. I guess I'll get used to it and pressing a switch 4 times isn't exactly taking, but I think Honda should have made it so a long depress takes you back to standard mode.
Final score: 8/10 which is higher than I expected it to be! It's a keeper!

There's nothing to replace it with tbh. So I reckon it'll be with me until i retire in a couple of years, which was really the whole purpose of getting one.

Re: NBT I've just bought my forever bike part4 , The Final Edition!
Went to Maldon yesterday, as wanted to get the kids (well Teens) out of the house for a bit and it was the first dry day in what feels like forever. I went via the Rodings and as you say there were a fair few bikes out, especially near Maldon/Heybridge as usual.Taipan wrote: Sun Feb 08, 2026 5:00 pm I rode out to the peninsula so the wind was carrying some clouds inshore, but it kept blowing them past the sun and when it broke through, it was lovely.
