These are sold over here for drunk drivers, I mean teenagers and old blind people - to be driven without a driving licence! Restricted to 45kmph !!Taipan wrote: Wed Feb 18, 2026 1:46 pm![]()
CITROËN AMI - Worlds Fastest - Auto Draw - 22nd February
WORLDS FASTEST CITROËN AMI
Here is your chance to own a piece of motoring history, this is no ordinary Ami…
Up for grabs is what appears to be a quirky yet practical Citroën Ami, but is in fact a 100mph, 80bhp pocket missile wearing the face of a friendly French EV.
This started life as the slowest car on the market. It is now the world’s fastest Ami, and possibly the angriest cube ever assembled.
It’s unmistakable design gets more attention than many supercars and rightly so, it’s ridiculous and fun in equal measures.
Get ready for other road users to experience confusion and disbelief - this head turner can also outpace many hot hatches whilst being completely road legal! (in Normal Mode)
Citroën says the Ami is “urban mobility.”

The mayhem that would occur when the local old blind drunk gets into this one !!!!
Life is for living. Buy the shoes. Eat the cake. Ride the bikes. Just, ride the bikes!!

Re: Online competitions for cars, bikes and tech goodies.
Yup, but i rarely enter the things you put up as i don't want cars. I do about 2 Van comps each month for £5-7 each time. I don't necessarily want the vans they have either, but they'd do a job for a while.Taipan wrote: Thu Feb 19, 2026 10:09 amJust checking to see if anyone actually reads this thread...IccyV2 wrote: Thu Feb 19, 2026 8:21 amNo link to say how to enter or what company?Taipan wrote: Mon Feb 02, 2026 10:45 am Looks like a flop for them?

Re: Online competitions for cars, bikes and tech goodies.
It's the first (and sometimes only) thread I check when I nip in every now and then, it saves me having to remember the sites, I just check on here and click the links.
There is rarely a month I don't have a go and it's usually multiple sites, thinking about it now it's been a few years that I've been doing it and it's only for stuff that I genuinely do want and would take the car/camper, I'm surely due a win soon

Re: Online competitions for cars, bikes and tech goodies.
I don't do any bike comps, and only car comps with decent cash alternatives. I do normally grab a couple on any house comps, but again for the cash alternatives. I wasn't going to bother with the thread anymore, but maybe I will then. Lest manifest a winner on here! Somebody win something FFS!

Re: Online competitions for cars, bikes and tech goodies.
I literally just bagged a couple on that!
Might keep it for the summer just for teh exhaust sound, but the last bright yellow car i had (TR7
) just to get smothered in flies during May!
Re: Online competitions for cars, bikes and tech goodies.
I had a punt on that as well, I need a new car as a daily and my other cars are too expensive to use as everyday cars and take the knocks you get here, so I'd take the cash alternative and buy something to get to work in, I'd probably get a mid-range EV, but then that devil on my shoulder is telling me to buy the 458 Speciale from Romans

Why not! It wouldn't even get you a semi in Pinner, but it would in Romans!IccyV2 wrote: Fri Feb 20, 2026 11:59 am I had a punt on that as well, I need a new car as a daily and my other cars are too expensive to use as everyday cars and take the knocks you get here, so I'd take the cash alternative and buy something to get to work in, I'd probably get a mid-range EV, but then that devil on my shoulder is telling me to buy the 458 Speciale from Romans![]()

No details for the car?
The early 991 GT3 had chocolate engines that cost Porsche a lot of replacements, but they didn't replace them all, just extended the warranty period and that's probably run out now, so if that's one of the fragile ones with low mileage then you could be looking at a £70k rebuild if it goes.
