Didn't Docca post that in the Jokes thread?
Missed that......bugger, beaten to it...again.
"Of all the stories you told me, which ones were true and which ones weren't?"
"My dear Doctor, they're all true."
"Even the lies?"
"Especially the lies."

There is a story that when posted to whatever ship it was, he was introduced to the captain and jauntily informed him, 'Please call me Andrew', to which the caption replied, 'Of course, and you can call me 'Sir'', much to his chagrin.

I don't know how true that is, but I do hope it is.
Military Hierarchy Overrules Royalty: While the Commanding Officer might be a "commoner" in civilian life, they hold authority over the prince within the unit. The prince is expected to follow orders and show respect for the rank.
Respectful Distance: While the prince might be treated with deference, the CO often maintains a "respectful distance," treating the prince as a professional colleague rather than a subordinate monarch.
Exceptions: In some contexts, particularly in ceremonial or non-combat roles, the prince might be addressed as "Your Royal Highness" (HRH) or "Sir," but in high-intensity environments, this is generally replaced by military honorifics.
He's still a cunt.

Keely Hodgkinson.

She just broke the indoor 800m world record.
Was previously held by drug fueled woman who was banned after for drug use 24 years ago.

She said it was extra special as the record was set on the day she was born.

She's a grand lass who'll be a global superstar

Amazon's internal A.I. coding assistant decided the engineers' existing code was inadequate so the bot deleted it to start from scratch...

That resulted in taking down a part of AWS for 13 hours and it wasn't the first time it had happened.

40 year old design and they've been having problems with hydrogen all those decades. So having problems now with helium leaks at least gives them some variety. If I recall correctly, I think even the engines are "new old stock". 30 billion dollars and it has had precisely one successful launch. I wouldn't be putting money on them making it to two.

They "solved" the heat shield problem by deciding to vary the angle of reentry so even if they managed to loop around the moon, getting safely back to earth is the part I'd be most worried about.

Yeah, I think it's hilarious. But who the fuck do you think you are?

You are offended by the use of the word THEY?? Is that your preferred pronoun then...

Not sure if this is politics or high comedy but the mayor of New York has issued a travel ban because it looks like it's going to snow.

Due to reasons I dare not suggest in such a highly censored forum, I find this hilarious. The fallout will be lit. hysterical...

I think he's issued a 'Do not travel unless necessary' coz it is snowing. A lot.

Why is that so odd? We get the merest hint of snow over here and the whole infrastructure goes to shit.

No, it's a travel ban, issued by a mayor. He says he will decide who he thinks should be allowed to travel.

Not sure you'd be so happy to be told you are forbidden to travel by your local mayor.
But then suddenly, that wouldn't be so funny now would it...
