My apps also say sun later in the week
Most weather apps don't pay for any info, they just steal what they can from that internet thingy. No guarantee of any accuracy.

The BBC pay shitloads for their info, so more likely to be accurate. It's always the best source of info over here.

My main source is the Met office app & I cross reference it with a couple of others, also there's the Met office YT channel.Living over here & spending a lot of time outdoors I get a bit obsessed with the weather...

Saturday was lovely, but Friday evening the leccy signs in Hertford were saying gritting from midnight. I went for a walk instead and then finally got round to giving the chain a bloody good clean before a good coating of the XCP oil lube, find it way too flingy for riding but it's great over winter as it gives the chain a lovely oil bath.

Sunday was very heavy rain, definitely a weekend of 2 halves.

Weather wise I always use the Met Office, as accurate as any I've found and still not magic.

More monkeying around today, 90 ish miles about 480 total so first service soon.

Headed for Lake Vyrnwy but spontaneously turned up a lane and it took me through some cracking forest roads. Had a sandwich in a quiet picnic area got lost but eventually back on track with pic from my usual spot at the dam and home for pancakes. 🙂👍🏻

I had to collect a parcel today, the courier company office is a 40 minute ride away. I'm thinking about buying a 360 camera and posting videos, I love where I live. Anyway, a pic next to a field of almond trees and another pic from the other side of the bike, same place.

If I see one I'll take a picture.

The roads around me are generally very quiet, but there's other stuff to think about. The roads are built to withstand summer air temps over 40 degrees C and sub zero winters, the surface gets very polished. Add the OEM tyres on the KTM into the mix, which are basically a track tyre, road temps are still cool and the tyres don't get warm, and it's makes for less than ideal grip. There's also quarries all over the hills which means a lot of dust gets spread around, again, not the gripiest.

Those pics were taken on the CV-813 west of Villena.

It's the first time out this year for the big lady. In fact it was the middle of November last year when it last turned a wheel. Three months rest.

It's been a lovely late Winter/ early Spring day around here, probably the best day of the year so far,so I took the SV650S out for a spin.

Image

The bike's been used through Winter & can do with a deep clean so I'll put it on a SORN at the weekend & drag the Triumph from it's hibernation.
I bought a new Shoei Neotec 3 the other day,my first Shoei for 20 years, first 'Flip front lid' & first helmet with a internal sun visor. It's bloody tight at the moment,I'm hoping it beds in sooner rather than later...

That would need to be an early morning Summer run before the road gets infested with tourists.
