Bud-fucking-weiser? Even at 50c a bottle I couldn't bring myself...
Look left. Looks right..
Good, the Cockney wanker banker isn't here.
It was shit. Taste was OK but was flat as a fart. Even poured 2 bottles into a glass and hardly a bubble.
Hmm.

Re: The Official Pleasing Purchase Thread
I was of that opinion until I bought a place in the S of F. At the height of summer it's not uncommon to see folks asking for ice cubes in their chilled red wine. Similar with rose (which i'd always dismissed as a girl's drink).v8-powered wrote: Thu Mar 05, 2026 6:56 pm More troubled by the red vino in the fridge. But once the heat of the day has passed somewhat, normal rules apply...

Rick Stein said "You can tell you're south of the canal du midi as they serve the wine chilled". We used the same campsite in Spain fro years and we'd always have to waffle out we wanted our red wine no frio .mangocrazy wrote: Fri Mar 06, 2026 10:41 pmI was of that opinion until I bought a place in the S of F. Quite the trick, my body can process and expel Budweiser before the alcohol can take hold.

It's then rebottled, shipped to Lanzarote and sold to unsuspecting ex-pats 'who know not nor care not what they drink'*.MrLongbeard wrote: Thu Mar 12, 2026 2:01 pmQuite the trick, my body can process and expel Budweiser before the alcohol can take hold.
*Which was the description I read of Fosters in the beer menu of a Belgian bar I had the good fortune to find many years ago.

Flights. So what? I hear you cry.
Well, my phobia of flying has meant the last decade or so I’ve driven everywhere (Portugal, South of France, Spain, Germany etc).
This will be the first time I’ll be on a plane with all of my family. That in itself fills me with dread, but there you go.
Flying to Tuscany in July. Can’t believe the rip off industry flying has become. Tickets? That’s fair enough. Everyone seemed to want to charge bazillions for baggage and THEN you pay again to chose your seat. Fuck that. Used Amex, sorted everything. Same price as skyscanner/ Expedia etc base costs, but get lounge, checked bag each etc.
Anyway- it’s a big deal for me and I currently feel pleased I’ve pressed the button.

Some levers for the Gold Star
https://www.tecbikeparts.com/product/br ... -goldstar/

The standard clutch lever feels a bit notchy sometimes and the clutch and brake levers don't match, they look totally different in style, these are a bit spendy, but it is payday.
