So if one team were to be relegated to allow Georgia in, should Wales and England have a play off to decide which?

Re: Six Nations 2026 :) :) :)
I don't know anything about rubgy, but always thought it was a Welsh game with them leading the UK. England being okay and came in second and Scotland were crap and came in 3rd. But from what i've seen i think England need to be 3rd in my table!
I'm back to work on Tuesday and I think my rugby loving, Italian, line manager will be lookingh forward to seeing me!

Obvs I'm taking the piss, but, looking at the England team sheet it really does appear that they are generally older / more capped than italy, france and wales, maybe Irealnd too.Taff wrote: Sat Mar 07, 2026 6:45 pm So if one team were to be relegated to allow Georgia in, should Wales and England have a play off to decide which?![]()

I am hoping to find an Italian in my history.v8-powered wrote: Sat Mar 07, 2026 9:44 pm I'm handing in my England card and claiming my jock ancestry.
England have lost the plot. Time to sack the old guard, and from the coaching team too. Let the new boys play the game in front of them, not waste time practicing the old set play shit.

England still play 'heavy' rugby, and every four or five years they catch a break and shine like superstars, meanwhile the rest of the world play modern light fast quick rugby.Cousin Jack wrote: Sat Mar 07, 2026 10:06 pm England have lost the plot. Re: Six Nations 2026 :) :) :)
Exactly. On a very wet day, on an old style sodden grass pitch, England may just batter their way through with massive slow forwards, and a back line built for battering rather than speed. On a dry day, with a modern well drained pitch they are an embarrassment.MrLongbeard wrote: Sat Mar 07, 2026 10:50 pmEngland still play 'heavy' rugby, and every four or five years they catch a break and shine like superstars, meanwhile the rest of the world play modern light fast quick rugby.Cousin Jack wrote: Sat Mar 07, 2026 10:06 pm England have lost the plot. I've no idea why all you English are complaining, imagine what it's been like being Welsh for the last few years.
I've never been tempted to look for a reason to support another country though.
Predictions for next week:
Ireland v Scotland - Scotland yet again fail to live up to their promise and collapse in Dublin. Ireland 30-12
Wales v Italy - an improving Wales fail to overcome a good Italian team whose confidence has been boosted by two good wins and a narrow loss in Ireland. Italy 25-18
France v England - England still in shock after the unthinkable loss to Italy, and France bounce back from the disappointment of losing to Scotland. France 45-21

I am giving up on predictions.
Wales were useless against Englkand, and then bounced back.
Scotland beat France, who would have though it.
England lose to Scotland and Italy.
My long term money is on Geargia or Roumania to join in and save Northern Hemispere Rugby from total anihilation.

Re: Six Nations 2026 :) :) :)
Georgia just hammered Romania, they're nowhere near the force they were 30 years ago. Portugal are improving steadily and are playing attractive rugby too, but neother Portugal or Georgia are anywhere near competitive with most of the 6N sidesCousin Jack wrote: Sun Mar 08, 2026 10:35 pm I am giving up on predictions.

Quite, I do find that second part odd. England aren't good at the moment and I hope they can sort their shit out, but they are my team and you support what you've got. Sure get mad at the tactics, the players, the management etc. But jump ship, fark that!Druid wrote: Sun Mar 08, 2026 4:08 pm I've no idea why all you English are complaining, imagine what it's been like being Welsh for the last few years.

I've got it double as an England supporting West Ham fan

Re: Six Nations 2026 :) :) :)
I think I jumped ship because England doesn' feel like home anymore. I only go there to see family and friends, not because I "want to go back"
The other reason, I like good play and got very dispirited with the amount of dirty play the last few years - totally unnecessary if you do play well. (Might have had my judgment/views clouded by a Kiwi on that, but even I could see some of the dodginess - he just pointed out more!!). I know they aren't the only team that do it but they always seemed the most obvious!
And, I am part Irish and Scottish as well, so I tended, since being here, to support those two and France, cos, my chosen country! I have always cheered on Italy because I felt bad for them as the underdog that expected the wooden spoon before the first match!! Never really supported Wales at all!
I REALLY wish I didn't have to work this Saturday
. I might get back for the last two matches but the first one is the one I want to see !!!!!

Some great matches in this tournament with the kicking Scotland gave France and the close England France final match were the best in my opinion. Let's hope England play like this for the world cup. Feel sorry for the Irish as they played well and consistently in all their matches.

Absolutely awesome that Scotland and Italy finished so high.
Shame Wales and England seemed to forget how to play till today?!
But, despite the reason I was able to watch all today’s matches, I’ve had a really good time watching them all

(Might have to have holiday for the six nations days next year
