People that you meet.
People that you meet.
A long time ago, this fella turned up in the UK to race in BSB.
I met him yesterday, on a charity “ride out”.
He approached me and started up a conversation and pointing to my cap.
We chatted for a good ten minutes, and I got the impression that he would have liked to continue,as living in the middle of outback nowhere I doubt that he gets to talk much about his time in Britain, but one of the Charity bods eased him away.
He came across as quiet and very humble, similar in ways to Ian Hutchinson, and he agreed that if he had the time again, he would have got a shity van and a bike and driven the uk doing track days the year before he came over just to learn the tracks.

No.
I didn’t intend this to be a guessing game, I just forgot to mention his name in my post. But then again…..

According to Google Lens, it's "man in white Ducati Corse T shirt, wearing RayBan sunglasses"

Well that's true, but he does have a name.Horse wrote: Mon Mar 16, 2026 10:50 pmAccording to Google Lens, it's "man in white Ducati Corse T shirt, wearing RayBan sunglasses"

It turns out that he is very good friends with all the Mackenzie's, though that may not help.

I cropped out the T-shirt so Lens only had the face to deal with. The closest it got was geographical with a non-bike-related Kiwi bloke. Pretty poor show from Lens.Horse wrote: Mon Mar 16, 2026 10:50 pmAccording to Google Lens, it's "man in white Ducati Corse T shirt, wearing RayBan sunglasses"

The plural of 'anecdote' is not 'data'.

I watched a Taran Mackenzie youtube vid about Philip Island at the weekend. This bloke was being interviewed about it. I can't remember his name though.Nobby wrote: Tue Mar 17, 2026 4:09 amWell that's true, but he does have a name.Horse wrote: Mon Mar 16, 2026 10:50 pmAccording to Google Lens, it's "man in white Ducati Corse T shirt, wearing RayBan sunglasses"Nobby wrote: Mon Mar 16, 2026 8:51 pm

At first I thought it was Taylor McKenzie. I worked with him a lot.Nobby wrote: Tue Mar 17, 2026 4:09 amWell that's true, but he does have a name.Horse wrote: Mon Mar 16, 2026 10:50 pmAccording to Google Lens, it's "man in white Ducati Corse T shirt, wearing RayBan sunglasses"Nobby wrote: Mon Mar 16, 2026 8:51 pm

OK, honest answer: I did two. First answer was the T. Second, tighter crop, sunglasses.Count Steer wrote: Tue Mar 17, 2026 8:03 amI cropped out the T-shirt so Lens only had the face to deal with. I cheated like a bastard, but with good old research rather than AI image searches. All the clues are there.
