Cracking ride around the forest, singletrack in great condition bar the occasional winter damage motorway. Serious lack of fitness and technique but managed to get close to a few PB’s.

Cracking singletrack attack in Friston today, chasing down Eebs and being chased by Eebs. Wobbly legs by the end of the last climb.

Gentle potter on the Canyon yesterday to see how my shoulder would hold up (tore my rotator cuff about 9/10 weeks ago). First ride off road in 3 months, though have managed a couple of road rides last couple of weeks, so was good to be back out... Shoulder coped incredibly well to be fair, only niggled on big compressions, little washboard bumps and repeated hits weren't an issue at all!

Forest singletrack attack on the Curtis with the lads (I'm in the fluro yellow), initially cut short by random crank bolt coming loose, clouted something hard on the first trail and I suspect that shocked it loose so wobbled home with emergency 14mm stick of 5 Nm max torque. Crank taken to pieces, cleaned, inspected and reassembled back to 52Nm, back to the forest at top speed, no more issues, saw more HR +170 today than the last 6 months but did manage a top 10 chasing a mate on an Eeb. 4 pints home was hard work........

E Bike evening with added wildlife and pub stop at the end, 32 miles and 4100ft climbing, despite skippy gears due to new chain and old cassette.

🥶🥶-2.5C , cold toes and even colder condescension from the Buzzards in the trees along the route sneering down their beaks at me for my lack of progress and poor souplesse at 0600.

Got out this morning, parked near Bocketts farm in Fetcham then headed to Ranmore, Polesden lacy, Debbie’s, box hill and back, not going to lie, wicked route, loads of XC and some little descents at Ranmore, winged most of the trip as I have no real idea where to go (trying to remember the ride a few week ago and the old Supermoto days out, but it’s all green and trees 😂😂😂), but I took 3 mates who have E-MTB who just ride Wimbledon common and Richmond park, loads of fun, would loved to have more time.

Shame I did not have more time, there was loads to explore,
But to be fair, they had specalized Levo’s and almost ran out of battery? I had 44% remaining.

The bike is an absolute beast, the way it powers up hills it crazy, loads of fun, love it

Forest night ride last night, probably not the brightest idea after 3 nights of insomnia and giving blood that afternoon. Had to have a tow home from my E Bike equipped mate.

So yesterday I took the lad and BMX to the skate park, bloody hell, that was terrifying,

I had put a new rear brake on it and new grips, I did’t tighten the grip enough so they were spinning as well which added to the fun.

Very brave being the "grown up" on a BMX at the skate park. Last time I rode a BMX it got so cross that an "adult" was on it that it threw me into the floor for no apparent reason and I couldn't move properly for two weeks.

@formula400 you are more than welcome to come for a tour of Friston singletrack now its dried out (@Mr Moofo @crust @mboy @weeksy are also welcome).

Friston is about 3.5 miles from Polegate Station if coming by train.
