The bike was recovered, but the video shows just how quick it happens!

That was quite slow. I featured a BMW being pinched on my webcast a couple of years ago. Took less than 10 seconds. Manufacturers should be liable to claim-backs from insurance for thefts like this. That would encourage them to do something meaningful about motorcycle security.

I was telling my Dad that when I drive into work in Harrow I see scores of scooters with no locks and 90% of the time with no steering locks on either. All parked in groups, I assume it's a merry go round of stolen and re-stolen deliveroo scoots, no security at all. Often see the same with scoots/bikes parked in people's gardens in Harrow.

Popped into a pub for a pint a last summer and noticed the bike bay just along the road had council-fitted ground anchors... almost entirely ignored by the owners of the bikes parked next to them.

Always hilarious when some Brit tourists show up at the Rockstore on rental bikes. Out come the locks & cables etc as they spend a few minutes chaining the bikes to each other with cables through the wheels/frames etc (& helmets). Half the regulars there don't even remove the ignition key & no one locks their bike up. A couple of times I've walked over & said "What the hell ya doing? this isn't the UK".
Wonder if they get used to not securing the bikes, forget to lock up their bikes back home after the holibobs & get their bike nicked..?

My '83 GPz11 has a cable that that slides out of the left down tube on the frame. It has a D shaped steel doodad on the end of it
