They are not ideal and not standard either!KungFooBob wrote: Fri Apr 10, 2026 8:41 pm Discovered Ideal Standard baths don't come with bath feet/legs, you have to buy them separately.

It turns out that they do, it's all very well hidden in the packaging.Cousin Jack wrote: Sun Apr 12, 2026 4:50 pmThey are not ideal and not standard either!KungFooBob wrote: Fri Apr 10, 2026 8:41 pm Discovered Ideal Standard baths don't come with bath feet/legs, you have to buy them separately.

Re: What have you done today thread?
Didn't get done what I wanted has had a few visitors turn up. Late afternoon we took the dogs for a walk and saw a kid learning to ride on a pw50. Then we walked through the local park where there were kids flying kites, playing football and basketball etc. We have a large Eastern European community around here, and its nice to see their kids like doing the more traditional things. Bought an '83 GPz750. It's a project, but it runs. Guy looked really familiar, but couldn't figure out why. Turns out I know his brother who has that old Cushman scooter with the CBR600 engine in it & a CB1100R.

Didn't quite have enough 80 proof apple pie moonshine to half fill the glass, so topped it off with the straight 100 proof.
That counts as a mixed drink... right?

Went to Borough Market on Saturday. Went into the beer seller that pitches up there. One large bottle of beer, no idea what brewer or anything, was £60.
£60. For a bottle of beer.

The council cunts gritted the roads this morning,so I diverted my energy into finishing off the insulation job. The council cunts have probably done me a favour,as the job has been dragging on for months.
They're still cunts for gritting bone dry roads with nary a hint of frosty temps.

I put it back and promptly walked out, so I must be more of a Yorkshireman.

Just been speaking with the Gremlinette. She's been on a Halfords training day, learning how to fix cracked windscreens.
I'm actually quite envious.

First trip of the year to Formby on the Gravel bike.I met an old friend at Southport, whilst I was waiting for her I noticed there were quite a few people sitting around on the prom, turned out a Spitfire was due to fly past.It was flying around the coast of Britain as a celebration of 90 years since the first Spitfire flew.

Lovely day for a bike ride earlier,it's started raining now

There's an obvious joke there, but will refrain on this occasiongremlin wrote: Mon Apr 13, 2026 5:52 pm Just been speaking with the Gremlinette. She's been on a Halfords training day, learning how to fix cracked windscreens.

Re: What have you done today thread?
Earlier today we popped along to our fave sea front restaurant, right on the beach.
Had the tastiest fish I'd ever had. Chierney apparently.
.
Followed by afternoon nap, obviously

Re: What have you done today thread?
Yesterday, coming back from the GPz750 location:
Cruising along the freeway at 80mph, smallish SUV passes me like I'm on jackstands & is using all three lanes to pass cars.
Me: Ooh, a rabbit, thank you
I round a curve & see brake lights on the next group of 6 backmarkers I'm about to catch up to. I roll off the gas & then I see the christmas lights. I guess the CHP Charger was at the front of the pack she blasted past, which pleased me greatly
Today:
Roll up at a red light about 1/2 mile away on the way to cash in my immense lottery winnings ($18) & I'd just missed a 4 car wreck. People were just getting out of the cars. The two cars didn't look to bad, the full size truck/trailer looked fine, just scratches on the front (steel) bumper, but the minivan was missing pretty much the entire front end which was laying nearby.
Go the store, get my $$, head to the bank & the first cop passes me 1/2 mile from the wreck, then another cop & an ambulance about 2 miles from the scene.

Full day WFH, walked the dog, then chopped down a load of bushes in the garden.

Had a word with my Dr's staff about seeing the Eye Guy. Had an odd issue earlier where I was reading, but then couldn't focus on the word I was looking at, but the rest of the page was in focus. Had a bit of pain in the right eye since yesterday.

Re: What have you done today thread?
Got a new slushbox shifter for the SBH. Can't fit it yet as I'm still short one small plastic guide doodad that goes inside to hold the plunger as the correct angle. Searched the car looking for it, no sign of it but did find another part from the day it energetically self-disassembled itself all over the interior.
Off to Pick-A-Part later to get that bit.
