I absolutely fucking love council estates when the sun’s out the whole place turns into Benidorm. Kids screaming up and down the road on scooters with one wheel missing, someone’s Bluetooth speaker blasting tunes that sound like they’ve been recorded through a toaster, and at least three separate arguments kicking off over absolutely nothing. Then you’ve got lads outside their gardens like they’re security guards for a club that doesn’t exist, just nodding at everyone like they’re important. The smell of weed in the air, baby mums running for the ice cream van with their tits swinging all over in their vest tops, smack heads peddling about topless on their kids Ben 10 bikes, corner shop rammed full of people getting the beers in, and the ladies walking around with their fannies eating their shorts and little crop tops on like they're in fucking Cyprus. Then you’ve got that one bloke who’s been mowing the same patch of grass for two hours straight, shirt off, red as a lobster, acting like he’s maintaining Wembley Stadium...

I walk my dogs through an estate near me. Its a sort of cul-de-sac, with a grassed area between the opposing houses. Most sunny weekends, most of the street bring their garden table and chairs out and sit out there, rather than their back gardens and have BBQs and a bit of music, couple of paddling pools for the kids, which the drunken males always end up in etc.
Chatted a few times and they seem a nice little community.

A colleague was showing me Leigh-on-Sea on Google Maps. There's a row of cockle sheds there that sell all manner of shellfish.

Lesbian colleague leans over and pipes up, 'You can't beat a live seafood supper' and gives a salacious wink.

I did well not to spray the tea I was drinking all over the screen.

The smell of beef brisket searing in the pan before heading for the slow cooker! If Sunday has a smell, then its roast beef!

It's a good job we know what you actually do a Sunday, as that could so easily be taken out of context and have you in for a police interview.

I know it's a bit weird. But is it really weird to be stupidly happy to have done leg presses but with the bad leg :) :)

OK, not heavy weight   I used both legs but less on the left.

THEN - 10kg with only the bad leg :bblonde: :bblonde: :bblonde:

No bone pain so yes - I am so damn happy :) :)

Ha!
If a proper real grown up 69 came along at the right price I might bite, but there's no bargains about currently,so the model have to suffice for now. :D

The dreaded "elevated PSA result" for a gentleman in his later 50s, followed by an MRI, followed by an interview with the hospital urologist. :(
It turns out big guys have naturally big(ger) prostates and therefore can show higher psa scores that are essentially 'normal' (when teamed with a 'normal' MRI, natch').

So - Yay! :bblonde:

Yay! Indeed.

Instead of all this campaigning for blanket PSA testing the effort should be put into a) developing a better test and b) either routine MRI scans for chaps of a certain age or ultrasound scans - which are only a tad more complicated than the 'finger up bum' test and give waaaay more information, in real time. They could do that in mobile units like they do with breast scans.
The plural of 'anecdote' is not 'data'.

I think I read recently that a non-invasive test is being developed, with - potentially - plans for routine national roll-out.

I’ve achieved a few PBs this week:

55kg bench press - when I started at the gym, I struggled with the 20kg bar
200kg 45°/ inclined leg press
100kg seated leg press
75kg deadlift
31.22 5K run*

*First Park Run with one of my daughters who managed 29.45 but is 26 year my junior and runs regularly with a club. According to the Park Run stats, I finished 10th in my age group (55-59)

One day someone will invent, and roll out for easy access to all boob carriers that need testing, a test for breast cancer without the need to squish the boobs between two plates whilst someone says "stop whining, it doesn't hurt"

I know there is a better test (believe it's like and ultrasound) but for some reason that much cheaper and much less uncomfortable/painful test is not the norm :( :( :(
