TBH I think I'm already there, 3 hours motorcycling this morning made me tired, and for my birthday tea I've had a nice Greek salad at home, I toyed with going to the local barbecue place but didn't fancy loads of meat. Tomorrow more motorcycling.Yorick wrote: Fri May 22, 2026 6:24 pmOne more and you'll be an old fartLe_Fromage_Grande wrote: Fri May 22, 2026 6:03 pm This weekend I will mostly be celebrating my 59th Birthday![]()

Yesterday was an unexpected boat trip on one of the nearby lakes. Which caused me to meet a chap who has a boathouse for rent and a boat for sale.
Today, tomorrow and Monday all have things planned but although I was told what they are I've forgotten the detail.

We have a second grandchild on the way and this morning was the gender reveal, it’s another boy.
That makes things simpler for us as we’re already set up for small male babies, but they’ve now decided that they’ll try for another child after this one because they want diversity.
I think two is enough though.
We’ve just had a sausage bun and Mrs Iccy has decided she’s going to have an hour next to the pool. So I’m off to the beach over the road.
Tomorrow is a celebration breakfast for the baby and then I’m going to meet some likeminded nerds who meet on car parks just because we own the same car brand.

Sounds like they want a girl, not diversity.IccyV2 wrote: Sat May 23, 2026 8:44 am We have a second grandchild on the way and this morning was the gender reveal, it’s another boy.

Re: Friday thread, the May BH heatwave.
Friday was doing as little as possible. Saturday was almost a repeat of Friday, but I bought a water butt and hose pipe.
Sunday: Pentecost with Baptism, a man has turned from Islam to follow Jesus Christ, what great joy! Second church service followed by another Baptism. Afternoon sleep.
Monday to Saturday, a blur of doing nothing and relaxing. Gardening and walking the woof, taking her to the groomers for a short trim and so on. Family time. I'll be doing a lot of cooking and so on, but I love that!
I am now seeing the Archdeacon on Thursday and having a G&T, cheese and crackers event to welcome the Chaplain of the local Christian community in that evening. Any excuse for some G&T really...

One who forgives an affront fosters friendship, but one who dwells on disputes will alienate a friend.
