The bridge itself is equally beautiful, if I remember correctly it's the oldest suspension bridge still open to vehicles. A gorgeous piece of engineering.Felix wrote: Sun May 17, 2026 8:20 pm Union bridge up near Berwick upon Tweed. The right bank is England and left Scotland.

Yes as i took the bike over as i left. You will get a car or small van over but as its a tourist attraction i find it odd there is no turning points. Folk in campers must get caught out if sight seeing. Such a quiet and tranquil place.

Spotted whilst sitting in the conservatory as the sun was getting low on the horizon.

"Of all the stories you told me, which ones were true and which ones weren't?"
"My dear Doctor, they're all true."
"Even the lies?"
"Especially the lies."

Either you've wandered into an Impressionist painting or your conservatory window is a bit smeary.MingtheMerciless wrote: Thu May 21, 2026 8:46 pm IMG_6776.jpegIMG_6777.jpeg

Why wouldn't you run a business critical system on Windows 2000 and MSSQL2000?
At least it's virtualized on a modern host.

Same reason as companies running IBM CICS/COBOL systems way past their sell-by date - 'cos that's what they'd got and it still, mainly, worked while they could get people to support/maintain it?KungFooBob wrote: Fri May 22, 2026 8:11 am Ttttttime warp!

(Mind you, the patties look like they've been fried into ice hockey pucks and the 'cheese' looks like yellow polystyrene).
