Similar to the new Play I've recently purchased, only smaller. The charger dock is a handy addition....gremlin wrote: Thu May 14, 2026 11:32 am IMG-20260513-WA0009.jpeg
The baby Sonos turned up.![]()
Smaller than I imagined (20p for comparison) but set up was a doddle on my existing Sonos network and it packs a proper punch in terms of sound.
Charges from a USB-C, supposed 10-hour battery life and flips to Bluetooth via button on the back. Apparently it's waterproof up to 1m, but not sure I'll ever attempt to test that function. Very much like the Move I've got, although that's a chunker and way more shouty and sits on its own charging ring.
All in all a very pleasing purchase for £118.![]()

Re: The Official Pleasing Purchase Thread
Didn't know the Roam 2 had a docking station, but given that it lives next to my laptop and can plug in there, plus the fact that it'll charge off of any of my dozens of my existing random USB-C plugs, I'll keep the £49 in my pocket, thank you very much, not least as that about half of what the actual speaker cost.v8-powered wrote: Thu May 14, 2026 1:34 pmSimilar to the new Play I've recently purchased, only smaller. My new Play sits in its charger base in my office, its a substantial lump of a speaker but sounds excellent and is pool proof too!

Re: The Official Pleasing Purchase Thread
The Move has a similar base and I'd say equals the 5 in terms of punch, but has the advantage that you can take it outside and it'll give a good few hours of play*. I'm quite liking their new range of speakers and the mobility factor is a big plus imho. I've almost forgiven them for that shit-show that was the app 'upgrade' a couple of years ago.

30l Ultrasonic doodad... Well chuffed & very gruntled. Apparently the usual trick is to use hot water when you fill it which gets it up to speed sooner & also makes the heating element last longer.

I love lemons, but supermarket ones here are tiny things with not much flavour. My wife got me these big, fat, juicy ones from a local farm shop!

Earl Grey Green tea. For some reason unavailable to buy in the UK but readily available in most Italian supermarkets.
