Shout when you’re here - Alps passes and Switzerland means near me!! And if it’s after 11 June (crossing fingers), I have a spare room and will tidy up!!!

Picking roomie up from LAX at 6pm, she's about to take off from Denver after leaving Littlerock this morning. It's gonna be the pupsters first trip to LAX which will probably be an event...
Pretty much been housebound for 11 days, I think I left the house 4 times over that time. I got a shit-ton of errands to run tomorrow...

Put a new plug in the Himalayan, made quite a surprising difference to the fuelling, much cleaner at the bottom end. I think the old one might have been the 25k old original one

Re: What have you done today thread?
Was out running a couple of errands on the GPz11 this afternoon. Stopped by the local brewery for a quick sherbert on the way home. Three guys standing in the bike parking area blocking the last spot. They realize I'm going to park there whether they move or not, they move.
One of them compliments the bike, then immediately follows up with "Ya ever had any bad accidents?"
Which deserved my riposte of "I woke up next to your mom one morning..."
That took the wind out of his sails & his two mates ripped him apart for asking the question.

Re: What have you done today thread?
Got up early
Actually got drugs I'd requested last night (instead of the wrong ones the night before) and slept really well
Up early as I said I'd go walking with one of the other inmates this morning - it's too hot to go later in the day
So currently enjoying breakfast by my open window with some fresh air - the window will have to be closed soon and then that's it for the day
But right now, it's lovely

Drove up to Passo Rolle in the Dolomites to do some walking. Never knew the road was so good (SS50).

Went out on the 848. Got stuck at some temp traffic light and realised the termis under the seat get rather warm...

Re: What have you done today thread?
I passed that once and never knew it was a pass. Probably 20 miles north as the crow flies i was staying in Arabba for four night on a bike tour. A day the group were doing nothing i went out for a jolly. Before sat navs i had a route in my head and got lost (More than once) I was out all day stopping and looking at my Michelin map or asking directions. Fantastic biking area what i always wanted to go back to but never had the opportunity.gremlin wrote: Sat May 30, 2026 6:02 pm 20260530_120231.jpg

Re: What have you done today thread?
Went to see a mates band play at the local VFW this evening. Bumped into a gal I know who is freshly single & wants to go riding again.
Then got hit on by a pair of Mexican sisters who I will be seeing again on Sunday.
The ordeal of having a Brit accent in the US...

Re: What have you done today thread?
I'd filtered to the front at some lights. Looked down, looked up and they'd changed to green so I gave it some beans, and the next thing I knew I was aloftFelix wrote: Sun May 31, 2026 12:32 amI did one about a month ago and almost shit myselfOpened it up to pass traffic but only on the brow of a hump in the road. Probably only lifted the front a foot high but you dont want to loose face so probably passed two cars like that

I'd always planned on using this bike to learn to wheelie, so y'know, it's a step in the right direction

Went to a wedding fayre. Lovely day out and got some things sorted out sensibly, unlike this bunch who wanted to charge that for a minimum spend!
