Tonight's dinner was, I am told, Eggs florentine with rice

So, because I know Eggs florentine is one of the dishes that my brother loves making, I sent him a photo and asked nicely that he makes me a real version when I go to visit - photo of dinner !!



His colourful response was -

How the £eck has that got anything to do with eggs florentine .
Is that rice
What is French for “hard boiled eggs in jizz, with bogies and rice”
Cos that’s what your eating

I replied that I could work out most of the translation but no idea on jizz and have no one to ask!!!! (HTF do I go about asking a french here that doesn't speak english to translate that??)

I then remembered my former Marine mate who learnt his French with a French partner and working with French (young) ski instructors!!


So I sent him this - honestly, I was laughing so much whilst writing this that I could barely type or see!!!!

Ok. I have a seriously RANDOM question for you !! Absolutely no one else I can ask that might be able to find the answer

Backstory - sent my brother a photo of the "eggs florentine" served for dinner (because he's very proud of the version he makes that I've never had!)

Anyway - his response to the photo of my meal was -

So my extraordinarily random question is - what is the French for Jizz
(I can find out bogies and know the rest - no idea how to ask a French person what the French word for jizz is )

A long read on Linkedin, but it was one of the comments that made me laugh.

The most expensive Range Rover…in the world.

Start with a long-wheelbase Range Rover SV P615 at around £225k and hand it to Overfinch, who have been enhancing Land Rover products since 1975. British Racing Green paintwork, matte gold accents, 23-inch bespoke wheels with self-levelling centre caps, and scrollwork engraving on the aluminium side vents. Expensive, but tasteful.

The interior draws directly from Holland and Holland's Royal shotgun. The quilted leather mirrors the chequering on the gun's foregrip. The open-pore walnut throughout matches the stock. H&H's head of engraving personally oversees the hand-engraved lozenges inlaid into the door cards. You are, quite literally, driving a piece of gunsmithing heritage.

What's in the Boot.

This is where the numbers become serious. The companion chests alone run between £50k and £60k. Champagne for eight, crystal tumblers, silver hip flasks disguised as 12-bore cartridges, plates, cutlery, and monogrammed napkins. All finished in walnut and leather.

At the end of the drawer, storage for two guns. Holland and Holland have been making shotguns since 1835. A pair of their Royal grade pieces runs north of £370,000.

Fully loaded, you are looking at over £800,000 of rolling stock. Only 25 will ever be made.
