They tried to nick my bike last night!

Post by Taipan »

I didn't think an NC750X would be that desirable! Recognised as a local team that has had a few bikes away, apparently. One held the front door handle so it took me longer to get out there. He also had a claw hammer in his hands so it was attempted armed robbery as far as I'm concerned. Will take it up with local Police at some point. To be fair, they reacted quickly, with an incident number given over the phone immediately!

Front, right outside my bedroom window. Look like kids to me. Theyre doing the rounds locally according to the local crimewatch pages.

Is there no way of keeping the bike around the back?

Owning an NC750X is all about parking it in front garden to make neighbours jealous :obscene-birdiedoublered:

Check the video, and note the claw hammer he's carrying, and this is what a grinder did to a 16mm Almax in that time. I did have a 19mm Almax, but sold it as it didn't go through the spokes on my XADV.

At least the little fuckers passing wouldn't clock it and make plans if it was out of sight in the back.

Little shites!! Need a good kicking.

That Almax seems to have done a good job, be aware they may well try and come back now and finish the job. You won't be sleeping well tonight?

I remember Veggie Dave and Zanx trying to break/cut an Almax chain. Not a chance.

I'm glad that bike theft over here is confined to the big cities and (in the main) scooters.
