Norco fluid
Anyone know anything about Norco?
I've heard of them but don't 'know' then as a brand or what their bike are like.
Specifically looking at the Fluid A1

Re: Norco fluid
As I said when we were out the other day, what I'd really like is the spectral, and the spec on this one is hard to pass over.
But.. And there's always one.. My employer and canyon use different c2w providers and neither will even consider using the others, so it's off the table for now.

Pedal syndicate is in the list and the Norco is a possible.

Re: Norco fluid
It turns out that even though the website says £3600, it's actually £2700.
The one niggle is that they don't have a demo, so my first chance to ride one will be after buying.
Hopefully NBD that coming soon

Re: Norco fluid
You weirdos.... Pressfit are honestly fine now. Even companies like Hope do them in either SRAM or Shimano fitment.

Re: Norco fluid
Nah, they're just rubbish but honestly it's not 1995 any more, pressift are fine now. My current BB was fitted 2 weeks ago and was £9. It doesn't have to be insane. It's a 10 minute swap and cheap to do, so we'll see how long mine lasts.
It wouldn't (wasn't) a deal breaker.

Re: Norco fluid
But you enjoy taking your bikes apart every 2 mins, I just want to ride and not spend more time faffing than I really need to.
I didn't buy a stumpjumper a couple of years ago because the wheels still had cup and cone

Deal done and dusted, a couple of weeks wait for it to be built and wrapped, the guy wrapping it is away for a fortnight

Re: Norco fluid
Now I am a dinosaur, and my last bike was a Ridgeback rigid with a biopace crankset, but.......
that looks bloody complicate, and bloody weird too.
Every bike I ever owned has had the big cogs at the pedal end and the small ones on the back wheel.

Re: Norco fluid
Mountain bikes are designed to climb steep hills. So you get a 32 on front with a 50 on the back and can climb climb climb.

Re: Norco fluid
I knew they had low gears, my Ridgeback was supposed to be a mountain bike, but I have never seen anything so extreme. It just looks wrong.weeksy wrote: Fri Jun 19, 2026 5:31 pm Mountain bikes are designed to climb steep hills. So you get a 32 on front with a 50 on the back and can climb climb climb.
Edit. The paint does look very smart indeed.

Re: Norco fluid
Looks lovely. I’d buy a norco (also have no issue with press fit these days, so whilst I’d chose threaded BB it wouldn’t be a problem).
The website you brought it from could do with some work, so little detail on the bike or its components or geometry (unless I was being dumb).

Re: Norco fluid
Err yeah, it's the bike shop in Pedalabikeaway FoD that's set up as an in person shop rather than a web shop, and to be fair, all the info you'd ever need if available online on the Norco website and all of the reviews.
