The Nations Championship (Rugby)

Post by MrLongbeard »

A new tournament at the perfect time to serve as an antidote to the endless parade of prima donna's on the World Cup football stage.

Cracking first game, end to end non stop high scoring action.

I know we're the northern hemisphere but I'll be buggered if I was going to cheer France on :obscene-birdiedoublered:

I'm only 2 games in but this championship isn't disappointing.

But yet again I had to play hemisphere traitor by supporting Japan, by Christ they've brought some tall ass ringers in from somewhere, 6' 10" hookers look a smidge out of place against the rest of the team.

The Eng / SA game - think England shouldn't be too down about that scoreline. Once they'd woken up 15mins in to the first half, they played OK, and to lose against the mighty 'boks isn't something to cry over.

Well that was bloody ridiculous in the Aus V's Irl match.

I've always smirked at the football lot complaining about VAR as the TMO system in rugby works way betterer and quicker, but to award a try, allow the conversion to go ahead and then allow the TMO to flag it just before play kicks off again is taking the piss.

Although to be fair the ref in that match was a little bobbins.

The Laws have been changed quite recently, used to be once the conversion had been attempted the try stood

Watched it last night, as per usual England were their own worst enemy, the score line wouldn't have been so lobsided if they didn't give away penalty after penalty.
