We really got into this 7 parter. Loads of unseen twists and turns and cleverly written.

But the ending was shit. Like Bobby Ewing in the shower.
We wasted 7 hours :(

I didn't think it was that bad an ending. They left it open with someone being missing, already to disrupt the newfound harmony. Perfect opening for series 2 if they wanted to make one....

And that's often the pisser: you start watching a series, get to the last episode expecting for all to be revealed and then it doesn't and series 2 never gets commissioned. I know people griped about GoT's ending, but at least it had one.

Clarkson's Farm series 5, love it, great daft telly

The Boys series 3, a slog but watchable, even if it's weird to see Boimler not on a starship bridge

Punisher series 2, s'ok

Wayward Pines. 15 years since we last watched it, it's great. And Happy. Which is a bit of a Christmas thing (the first series anyway) but it's so utterly violent and mental it's suitable for year round viewing. Also Utopia, the proper British one. IMHO better than Breaking Bad and should have had a third series.

Yeah, just finished watching Ponies (80s set spy stuff). It ended on a bunch of cliffhangers and now they've announced there's not going to be a second series.

Neither new nor particularly a laugh-a-minute, but BBC4 are showing The Nazis: A Warning from History again. Still utterly shocking to watch the interviews of both the victims and the perpetrators of such barbarity. To watch somebody describe with a smile how they bartered bread for the family jewelry of the residents of the Warsaw ghetto over the wire for financial gain, and still chuckle knowing what will have happened, is powerful stuff.
