I bet that seat makes you want to stand up after a few miles!Scuffmark wrote: Sat Jun 05, 2021 9:10 pm Half a day around the Peak, 140 miles cruise/hoon with a bit of laning thrown in for good measure.

It doesn't look the best I must admit
It's a seat-concepts seat and the comfort compared to the standard seat is night and day. Managed quite a few 150 mile trips now which is plenty far enough on a supermoto no matter what seat is fitted

Away before 7am again. Blissfully empty roads, though not exactly warm for June, single figures in places.
Warm enough now I'm home! Time for a clean/de-bug.

Doubt it. The SMC has a similar sized tank to the Duke I think. My Duke will do 130-140 miles to the fuel light normally. When I rode to Southwold the other week I wasn't hooning and got caught by a fair few bimbling cars in hard to over take places so it wasn't a quick ride, just enjoying the ride. When I filled up at 122 miles just cos I fancied a break I only got about 8 litres in the 13 litre tank.Druid wrote: Sat Jun 05, 2021 10:45 pmand there will be 3 fuel stops in that 150 milesScuffmark wrote: Sat Jun 05, 2021 10:29 pm

MCN listed the 690 in the most fuel efficient bikes around the other week. In normal riding I tend to get about 60mpg but apparently ridden gently can do 70 or more. Not bad for such a highly tuned single. In fact other than motorway cruising I find the Duke way more practical than my Firestorm. It does more MPG, has a bigger range, is more comfortable and is better for luggage.

Gave the bike a clean and then went for a quick spin. First picture is at Beachy Head, hidden in sea fog and cold, second picture is about 5 miles west and a mile inland at a place called “High & Over” towards Alfriston.

My company have recognised the extra pressures of life due to covid and given us three "wellbeing days". Basically an extra three days hols of which the first was today. I took the opportunity to catch up with a mate, visit a bike dealership, pop to the coast for an ice cream & coffee and generally have fun on my bike. There can't be a much better way of ensuring mental wellbeing!

At 12:00pm on Sunday I decided to jump on the bike. For some reason it came into my mind that although I've down the furthest compass points in GB I hadn't done the closest. I decided Ness Point in Folkestone was gonna get ticked off. The roads were light on traffic due to the England football match and the weather was perfect
