Just noticed a Netflix series of 'Snatch', one of my all-time favourite movies, i doubt the series will live up to expectations, but we'll find out.

Luckiest Girl Alive. Not really my sort of film and a painfully slow start, but once again, another superb performance from Mila Kunis!

Re: Box Sets, Mini series, films, etc.
Finished Pennyworth on ITVx recently, started off well, veered off at a tangent and ended abruptly so you never get to see Alfred become Bruce Wayne’s butler.
Silo 1 & 2 were great, waiting for series 3 which should arrive at some point.
Thoroughly enjoyed Jackal, I rewatched the original Edward Fox and the terrible, by way of comparison, Bruce Willis films in anticipation and was appreciative of the references in the series to the original.
Ploughing through Yellowstone season by season which is getting a bit formulaic but it is worth watching purely for Kelly Reilly
Reacher on Amazon is very watchable as each series ties in well with the respective book, yes, Lee Childs relied on the same formula for each book and this isn’t lost in the tv series. Certainly not high brow, but it is reasonably entertaining if you don’t take it seriously.
Given my current change of job role and lack of garden leave, I’ve been catching up on Silent Witness, a show i started watching when Amanda Burton was the lead.

Started to watch Here with Tom Hanks. Stuck with it for as long as I could but had to bail on it. Normally him being in afilm is a reason to watch it, but not this one.

Have you seen Dafne Keen recently?
She's 20 now and looks quite different.

Caught up with 'I May Destroy You' on iPlayer over the course of the last few days. Funny, quirky, explicit but very well written and refreshingly original.
Worth a watch. 12 40-ish minute episodes.

The final ep of this second season was fantastic - I struggled a bit with the season and was, maybe a little cynically, resigned to expecting the usual cliffhanger ending.Sunny wrote: Fri Feb 21, 2025 8:31 am Re watching the first season of Severance before the second season finishes and we can binge that(Apple TV).
It's excellent.![]()
Nope, it was just really good TV!

Boss Level.
Its on Channel 4 streaming for free.
Take the movies Groundhog Day, Source Code and John Wick, mix them all together, reduce the budget by half and springle in some Mel Gibson.
The final 3rd is a bit of a slog, but the rest of it is quite amusing/ultra violent.
