Think you're a lot more mechanical capable than most on here! We mainly ride, break or crash 'em!

The aim is to inspire others to tinker!. Need to do more riding though when the weather improves

A quickshifter does a bit more than just move the great lever, stuff like cut the ignition during the shift. If you want it to work on the downshift you'll need a slipper clutch as well. There's probably a bit more to out as well.
On the bikes I've ridden that were fitted with a quickshifter I've found them best used at higher revs, they're not for around town use.

The one Iv'e made works just on upshifts and cuts the ignition for a time period setup in the Ignitech CDI.
