They might find it easier if the discs were on the wheels as all they have to do is put the spindle through the bearings and lock it up
in a vice and use a Dial Indicator on the discs.

Re: They tried to nick my bike last night!

Hello TP

Very sorry that happened to you, you seem to be in a bit of a hotspot for bike thieves. Nothing boils my piss more than those.
Please consider getting either the litelok 3 or the hiploc dx1000 which are amongst the most grinder proof locks on this planet.
However Gallifrey had some plasma ...

Re: Selling on Facebook Marketplace - endless joy

I have sold a couple of 125's on ebay and had the same as you,
125's are the worst to sell because the chavs want them.
When one guy asked how fast one of them went my reply was
" If thats all you want to know then I am not going to sell it to you because you
will take it away, thrash the tits off ...

Re: Preferred methods of dealing with an antisocial scrotewith an usilenced125

It depends on what you mean by antisocial.

If hes all road legal and riding around sensibly on a loud bike
cut him some slack as we have all done it.

If hes riding illegally or dangerously phone the police and tell them you think
theres a drug dealer riding around on an an illegal bike.

Has anyone tried one of these yet ?

The way my scooter is stored in the garage means I can only access the back wheel.
This is not ideal for me because only the bottom part of the wheel is accessible and
there is not much room to get a chain through it, added that any bending down is ...

Re: Has anyone used a handlebar mounted smart screen

I cant add anything helpful to this discussion but
My brother used Quadlocks with 2 iPhones and the camera's went on both of them.
They wont focus, and in videos make a kind of electrical shock sound.

Apparently the Quadlock dampening thing is meant to help and I have never heard of Android phones ...

On one of my old XT 500's I had a Hydraulic clutch lever that worked with the cable I think it was Magura
It made it very light to pull.

Re: Honda mini bikes.

The screen looks great and I like aftermarket exhausts that dont look like the original.

I put a Black Widow on my Van Van and it didn't cause any problems so I guess the computer was able to adjust to it.
I have read that people who put aftermarket exhausts on my new Scooter have had Warning ...

Thanks Taipan and Crust.

The Aprilia is not listed on Hagon's website so I phoned them up and they have no data on it at all,
but they are willing to use my bike for R&D.

I take my bike down to them and leave it for 10 days and they do all kinds of measurements and make a
custom pair of shocks ...

I love the van van because since I bought it about 2 years ago all I have needed to do on it were oil changes and lube the chain, the engine is old tech now which is fine for plodding around town on but struggles with my weight especially on longer journeys and faster roads so I wanted to upgrade to ...

Thanks for the link crust.

The max length of those seem to be 6 inches which wont be long enough.
I think I will extend the mirrors on the scooter (bought it today being delivered early next week)
just to see what length they need to be so I can see behind me then that will give me a better idea ...

Hello Ogri, thanks for the heads up.

After a bit more messing around with the adjuster's locking nut it turned out with the nut lose the knocking noise went away
and after watching several videos on YT most people were pulling the tensioner up with a 3mm screw before locking it with the nut.

Winter Tinkering & Spring Updates
I don’t do much with bikes during the winter apart from the odd bit of tinkering here and there. Now that the nice weather is here, the motorbike season is just starting for me, so it’s time for an update.

The Family Fleet
My brother sold his Z1000, which was a ...
