Re: Veloce Aperion

Where is the chain? Can see the pockets for the cush drive on a half arsed single sided swinger.

Is it a mix of AI and optimism. Hideous looking for £78k

Re: Selling on Facebook Marketplace - endless joy

Despite my moaning, had a message on Friday evening from someone who came and picked it up on Saturday afternoon. That's me told.

Ebay cost me £20 for the ad so I'll be back on marketplace with the bmw if I ever get it finished.

Did AI write the article? Lots of words without telling us anything. Bike looks OK if a bit 90s street fighter with them yokes. Clip ons a bit out of place too.

Selling on Facebook Marketplace - endless joy

Selling my son's moped, very little interest on ebay, against my better judgement I put it on marketplace...

So far I've had,
What's it's top speed? It's a 50cc so not much
2 people called Bob with no friends or posts so assuming they're burglars.
Will I swap it for an ipad? Apparently I can sell ...

Re: I have a horrible feeling my T4 van's head gasket is toast

My 2001 1.9td ticked over 260k yesterday. Admittedly the previous owner had a recon head fitted and I've got a replacement gearbox still sat in the garden. It's the simplicity I value, no abs, airbags or ecu even got manual windows.

Fortunately I've run out of space so I can't buy any more old shite.

Last year I was thinking of building a 'home office' in the garden,it's a big garden & a a big shed / home office will fit in there no problem plus I reckon I'll get my money back if I ever move. There's only one problem,I'll ...

Re: Multi bike insurance

I'd get the GSXR off your policy ASAP.I remember a horror story in MCN where someone in Scotland sold their bike,a few days later the new owner crashed & died but for some mad reason involving his insurance the previus owner got sued  .The moral of the tale was that if he'd cancelled the ...

Re: Wet weather welding

Picked up a Clark 20 to 120 amp welder last week. Took a lot of experimenting with patches and the welder lo get the settings right but passed the mot.

Put the seam sealer on too soon and dissolved the primer. Had to bare metal it and start again, finally finished at 10pm on Wednesday in the cold ...

Re: Wet weather welding

Took advantage of the sunny weather to have a crack at the patching. My welder only goes as low as 50amps. Spent the afternoon blowing holes in wheel tubs.

Going to have to buy another lower amp welder for sheet metal.

Wet weather welding

Hello
Any welders on here?
Need to put some patches in my van for the mot. Can all be accessed from inside the van but still be on my drive in the rain. Any issues using a mig with flux core in damp or wet conditions?

I'll be doing my utmost to keep the extension lead dry and not getting myself or ...

Need to finish the bmw project and get it sold, a bathroom disaster has loomed and money is needed. Hopefully I can get the speed triple back on the road this year.

Re: Taking a dog on a bike

Have seen a bloke around Tamworth that rides with his staff in a mesh backpack thing. Dog looked very happy about it.

Personally I wouldn't take my dog on the bike, don't imagine the kit available for dogs would be tested or much use in a crash. Not always predictable what the dog will want to ...
