Also got one Oxford's new-ish Kriega-style tail packs. I was thinking of getting a Kriega pack in my current 'no more tank bag' mood but this was *significantly* less money and was well reviewed.
Having had a look at it today it seems to be a genuine alternative to the Kriega stuff, depending on how well it lasts of course.

Gotcha. We're probably a similar chest size but I'm more like an AAA. And they're definitely not conical

I have one but rarely use it. It looks as though it ought to be easy to use, but I found it slipped around and was never to hand when I wanted something like a credit card for the peage.ChrisW wrote: Thu May 15, 2025 6:06 pm Bought a Lomo leg-bag - I'm going to try going without a tank bag with the new bike so this will be handy for phone, key, passport etc. Stuff I want to know is still there at any given moment!
It either looks a bit like Han Solo's holster or really wanky, perhaps both.

Bit the bullet and bought myself a bigger than last time 2 piece set of Alpinestars leathers. Very happy! Fit well though the waste on the trousers isn't as high as I'd like - designed to maximise muffin tops. Ho hum - I'll be braking them in over the weekend - hopefully in dry weather.
Alpinestars Stella GP Plus V4 with Stella Vika V2 trousers (as I don't need the knee sliders

Re: The Official Pleasing Purchase Thread
I bought a book, which just arrived via Amazon in a box that could have contained two full-face helmets. Book was bigger than expected, but not that bloody big.. altho tbf, it's about the size of a 1970's Grattan catalog (remember those?)
It's "Equations of Motion, adventure, risk & innovation". Engineering Autobiog of William Milliken, damn near 700 pages. (look it up)

Maybe Dazzle has read it?

Race Car Vehicle Dynamics Problems, Answers and Experiments, better known as "Milliken and Milliken" is a standard text. I don't know if the other Milliken is his brother, uncle, unrelated or what. Maybe it says in his Autobiography.
