Need to be concerned?

Post by Docca »

Just got back from a ride out. The right hand side of the handlebar near the mirror seems to have a gap. I have no idea if that gap has always been there - I suspect not.

I tried to push and pull stuff but nothing. Is it possible that there was a weight on their or something and it’s just fallen off?

Thanks as always

Is there a bolt/screw in the end of the handlebar?

I'm fairly sure it will need loosening somehow, pushing back in, then tightening back up.

Jeez, don't suggest he set it on fire himself, you'll put me out of business.

It's already been mentioned. Undo the bolt in the end, push it back into the bar, tighten the bolt.

That would strike me as the sensible suggestion - you will need the right sized Allen key.
Whether you do that , or burn the shirt first, is you decision 😉

Should've bought a Harley :obscene-birdiedoublered:
Guessing they're Motogadget jobbies, in which case no Allen screw, just unscrew the indictor, could be tricky depending on how long they've been on there / seized up

Oh and do remember to hold the exposed shaft, don't come crying to us because you've forgotten and twisted the wiring to buggery, best bet is to get a man in.
