Well the Monkey took me to the hills again. Bit blowy up top but nice enough. Plenty of walker's out. Another cheese n ham toastie in a Church Stretton cafe, washed down with a nice hpa at the Bridges, Ratlinghope.

I love the Long Mynd, wifey and I did think about moving to Church Stretton at one point. I've had a few beers in the Bridges over the years, I often stayed in the hostel round the corner.

Have you been to the gliding club? It used to good for a cup of tea and a slice of cake, I assume it's still going.

Not been yet, I usually got to the Hollybush cafe on the cross roads in Church Stretton. I will go soon and see if they'll do me a cheese n ham toastie. Bala swimming baths cafe winning atm. 👍

We're in Scarborough for our first ever scooter rally. It's been great. Saw the Beat Friday night, chatted to a lot of lovely people over the last 3 days, seen loads of cool scoots and had a great ride out today along the coast (bit blowy). Got caught in short hard rain shower today so used it as an excuse to go out for lunch whilst the roads dried out.

Yesterday wasn't the least painful I've ever had :obscene-birdiedoublered:

Riding along narrow track, aiming to take left drop at the fork but looked down and saw the path on the drop had been washed away so tried to go back up to the right folk.

Fuck, down i went and really hit a rib hard.
Had to wait a few mins to get a breath then carried on

Hour later suddenly felt a right pain on top of my foot. Like a stone had got in.
Fark it hurt so pulled boot off.
A fucking cactus spike has pierced my foot right through my boots.
Fark !!!

Laid here in sun with painful rib and foot. Gonna be a gentle day :obscene-birdiedoublered:

A little Easter Monday run out. Cloudy and cold (8°) but dry. Lots of bikes and old cars out for the day.

Don’t be fooled by them blue skies, it was right at the limit for this fair weather biker today.

Glad I took my winter gloves and thermal body warmer in my backpack.
They made it a comfortable ride and enjoyable, rather than distractingly cold.

Stopped off on the way home at a new Car&Bike themed place called FatBobs at a pub I have drop into in the past called The Blue Lias.

Looked OK, not really my type of place but had a nice chat with the couple in the HRD drop top from the above pic, and saw this lovely looking Renault Gordini Dauphine.

A lot of our country roads are in better nick than the main roads. No repeated digging/patching for utilities.

No piccys as was out with a mate, on his mega mile KTM (146k miles now). It was blardy cold at 9am and 80mph, temp said 6C so with wind chill it was tatters to say the least. Met at Finchingfield, but literally just to meet, then on to the cafe at Stradishall for breakfast. From there I let the sat nav do its thing - Lavenham, Hadleigh, East Bergholt, Manningtree, where we stopped for a drink. Left there and went on to Heybridge where my mate headed off home and I did the same. 154 miles all in. Filled up with super this morning, £1.80. Nice...

Totally forgot to get any pics yesterday, Could have stopped & got pics of the GPz11 with some Bison, Llamas, Ostriches, San Andreas fault line etc :(

& the biggest white pig I've ever seen, at first glance I thought it was a really big cow with short legs, it was fucking HUGE.
